*Note product appears to have changed to CCC version originally ordered listed as CIC After looking at many options for CarPlay radios for my 2010 BMW 650 I came across this option that seem to be the most affordable and most compatible. When I received box, the outside was slightly beaten up, but the product itself was perfectly fine. I was able to quickly install it in less than two hours, my only issue was with the aux cable, but I will get to that in a bit everything else, though, was more on the car side and less on the Product side (routing the cable was a pain but I got it feed through) After everything was set up, I turned on the vehicle and was able to set up the screen to work properly with the original CIC system. I did have to change the resolution to the highest setting but every vehicle is different. I am glad that they included this option in the settings. What is the sound quality coming out of the AUX cable. I followed the instructions. It said to disconnect the wire for the CIC system in order to avoid static but when I plugged in the aux cable into my aux port, the sound quality sounded like I was in a concert hall very far away from a guy singing without a microphone And no amount of EQ balancing could make it sound any better in fact, it may sound worse but thankfully there is an option in the settings to use the original cars Bluetooth which my vehicle doesn’t have Bluetooth for music but what I was using to get by before I had this installed was a Bluetooth dongle. I just continue to use that and it sounds the exact same. I just wanted to have an update for navigation so this does exactly what I wanted to do. Another problem I have is the screen well yes it is very good quality and the picture is very clear and crisp. It reflects really easily. I am unsure if in the three series/five series it’s a major issue but at least in my vehicle I could see out the back window with it. I had to put an anti-glare film on the very top. I kind of wish that this was an option when buying/it be automatically installed I did have to buy the film cut into size and put it on the screen but now that it’s on there it looks perfect BMW on the 6 series appears to have put a curved piece of glass in front of the screen which I think helped mitigate antiglare. Maybe if there was a way to transfer that over/it come with the device. It might also help with the glare issues But all in all, if you already have a Bluetooth dongle for your music and if you don’t mind doing a little bit of DIY for anti glare this is a wonderful affordable option TLDR positive:affordable and easy to install/setup Negative: sound quality with the AUX cable is bad sounds good with Bluetooth and screen has a bad glare

As soon as the user enters car options (Drive) the related menu screen gets static visuals (pixelation), visually similar to analog TV Interference. This renders the unit unusable. The original unit has no such problems with the same wiring. Had to return.

Just defective. Audio will not work after following every direction to a tee. No way to activate aux once installed

The media could not be loaded. Was fine and made a bit of static noise original bmw interface works but the carplay side stopped working no way to reset
