I live in Central Florida and my bedroom is like a studio in the sense of there’s no separation from my sleeping space and the bathroom. The entire area is carpet, except for the small area where the shower and toilet is located. The bathroom area always remained damp, and it was starting to smell of mold. The humidity was always at 60% to 75% before a shower, 80% and higher after showering… In January of 2026 I needed to get the humidity down to 40% and nothing higher than 50%. I got this dehumidifier unsure of what to expect. I’m a firm believer in you get what you pay for, unfortunately, I needed dehumidifier IMMEDIATELY and I didn’t have much money. Even though I was happy that I got this on sale for $49.99 from $89.99 that concerned me as well… but, I have had this for almost 30 days and this was a FANTASTIC purchase! My room is always at 40% humidity, unless I’ve taken a shower, then it’s at 50% but this dehumidifier has no problems getting it back down to 40% within an hour. I personally love the daytime and nighttime feature. The lights are neat! And my husband appreciates being able to turn them off completely, even the menu lights. The only noise this makes is a quiet hum, I can never hear it unless my tv and ceiling fan are turned off. But, it’s never loud or bothersome. I read some people saying that it gives off heat. I haven’t experienced that myself. I got the black one and it’s sleek and to me it looks like a computer tower, but very compact in comparison to a computer tower. Overall I’m EXTREMELY HAPPY and IMPRESSED! You can’t go wrong with the price, even if it’s back at its original price. I don’t know the square footage of my bedroom, we are in a double wide and it’s the master bedroom. Hopefully that can give some people a perspective. I have been able to get the humidity right where I need it at, it removed moisture that had been there for years that I never thought could come out. The moldy smell is gone as well! This isn’t loud, it’s not in the way, it doesn’t give off heat and it has neat lights that you can use, or turn off. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this to anyone looking for a dehumidifier with not much money to spend. Honestly, if I had the money to splurge on a higher end one, knowing what I know, I would still get this one! I even got the extended warranty, $8 extra. This is totally worth it! I hope this helps anyone who’s unsure of what one to get.

Great dehumidifier

This NineSky dehumidifier has exceeded my expectations. I use it in our RV where humidity tends to build up. Afer a couple of days I noticed how the air felt much drier and more comfortable. I also started using a hygrometer at the same time and the readings are lower when this dehumidifier is in use. It has also helped reduce the damp, musty smell in the RV. It is quite when in use and can run continuously without being distracting. The water tank is easy to remove and empty. I have emptied it every couple of days, but It will automatically shut off when the tank is full, so I am not worried about overflowing. It has a nice appearance and can be placed anywhere. For the price, it's been a great investment and has made a noticeable difference in the comfort of the area it is placed, (Either bedroom/bathroom or living/kitchen of smaller 5th wheel). I plan to purchase another to keep the entire Rv with humidity levels under 50%. If you're looking for an affordable, quiet dehumidifier for a bedroom, bathroom, RV or other small space, I would definitely recommend the NineSky dehumidifier. Works much better than the smaller cheaper options available on Amazon and Walmart. The few extra dollars spent is worth it.

Do not buy these cheap "dehumidifiers"

These dehumidifiers are essentially a scam. They do not reduce the humidity in a room and will just make some noise and very slowly collect a small amount of excess water in the air immediately around it. The 1000sqft claim is absolutely nonsense. Best case scenario it might marginally reduce the humidity in a small closet. Effective Dehumidifiers are complex machines, and consequently do cost $200+. These tiny cheap dehumidifiers sound great because they provide a "cheap" option, but they're cheap because they don't do anything. For clarification, I did purchase a hygrometer and placed this in a sunroom. The sunroom was sitting around 70% humidity and I wanted to bring it down to 50%. After 3 days it collected maybe 10oz of water and did not noticeably change the humidity. I purchased a ~$200 Midea Cube dehumidifier and that dehumidifier is able to drop the humidity down to 50% humidity in less than 10 minutes. Skip this, save up some more money (or get used) and buy a reputable dehumidifier that actually works.

We finished our basement level recently and needed additional dehumidifier so we didn't have to run the A/C all the time. We live in the south, so its pretty hot and humid during the summer. Without a dehumidifier, our interior humidity level is 60% and up. I'm happy with mid-50% in our humid summer...and 30's in the other months. This runs continuously and has been doing an awesome job sucking up the excess moisture! We dump the collected moisture out every other day (half full), but does have an automatic shut off as well. The noise level is probably similar to other household appliances (or less) - sitting next to my refrigerator and freezer, I don't hear it at all. At night, it's just a soft hum. I'm typically miserable with the decibel and tone of bathroom and kitchen fan/exhausts where I can get pretty irate from them, but this is either at the decibel/tone that doesn't bother me, and doesn't make me go crazy. It's super portable (just need an outlet), so moving it around to get the perfect placement is a breeze.

I’ve been using the NineSky Dehumidifier (1000 sq.ft) for 91 uses over the past 9-8 days, and it has made a noticeable difference in the comfort and air quality of my home. The 95oz large water tank is very convenient, allowing it to run for long periods without constant emptying. The auto shut-off feature works reliably whenever the tank is full, so there’s no worry about overflow. One of my favorite features is how quiet it runs, especially in sleep mode—it doesn’t disturb me at night at all. The added 7-color ambient light is a nice touch that makes it suitable even for bedrooms or cozy spaces. It does a solid job pulling moisture from the air in smaller rooms like bedrooms, bathrooms, and basements, and I’ve noticed reduced dampness and improved air freshness over time. Noisy fan but works

I bought this dehumidifier because I read reviews that said it’s quiet. That’s definitely not the case. I will say, I can see it pulling water from the air (we live in South Florida so we’re battling some extreme humidity this summer), but I’m not sure I will keep this longterm because of the constant noise coming from the unit. If you’re placing it somewhere that you don’t spend extended amounts of time in (like a basement) I’d definitely recommend it. However, if you live in an apartment/condo where you’d need to put it in your living room or bedroom, I’d probably try another model (only because of the noise).
