I researched this as much as possible, but my main focus was Ryzen 9 for certain design and music programs. I tried to ensure that there were no bad reviews. Check. I was concerned about 17 inches, and that was valid because it’s huge—compared to work laptops. BUT, this is a fantastic find. It’s highly affordable, intuitive, and sleek, while, yes, huge. But this will be mostly a desktop for me in a studio. So, I’m not concerned about its portability. And, I do love the fingerprint sign-in. There was just nothing close to it in features at this price point. I’m retiring from a long time at a desk, in an office. My experience has been with PCs have built some 30 PCs for family over the last 4 decades. My first was A 386SX system my father was a computer engineer and taught all the basics. My Last PC was a water cooled AMD Rysen 7 that burned out the motherboard after 7 years. This laptop is far more powerful then my last PC it does everything you could want from number crunching to design work to gaming and does not skip a beat. Actually I was shocked at its performance. To build a similar system in a PC would cost 2-3 times as much as this laptop. I only switched to a laptop because of a coming move and this allows me to keep up with family, friends and work companions. Thank you for producing a wonderful machine really well done. This is a pretty great laptop for the price. Immediately upon receiving it, I installed a fresh version of Windows 11, so I can't speak to any bloatware that may normally come installed with it. I've mostly been using it as an internet machine and it's definitely over qualified for that. I have run a couple of games on it with decent success - although it's integrated graphics, so gaming is never going to be the main function of this laptop. I did just use it this past weekend with an Arturia audio interface in order to record someone playing the flute in Reaper. It handled that great. My only complaint about the laptop is that the right shift button is not the shape that I am used to from desktop keyboards and I frequently hit the key next to it when trying to press Shift. ... show more
