I love this laptop! Works great, no problems at all. The screen is a nice size and it can get very bright. I usually keep the night light feature activated to cut out the blue light. I have the laptop up on a stand that raises it about 6-8 inches off of the table, and a separate Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I can use the installed keyboard, but this setup works for me. We have a large kitchen table, and I'm able to just keep it there all the time. I can put the keyboard and mouse under the computer to get it out of the way, when I want a little more room. If we have company, it's not a big deal to move it to another room. I have an older desktop that still works. I couldn't install Windows 11 on it, so I switched to Linux. That's fine, but I wanted something updated and portable. This computer is perfect for my purposes. I was a little concerned about the screen size. I am retired and use the laptop for the typical home things. Paying bills, keeping copies of important documents, watching videos, and writing an occasional email. I read the newspaper online and visit sites like Reddit. My eyes are not what they used to be, probably from so many years of looking at screens. Well, with Windows 11, it's very easy to make any website text bigger. I could even have most things read to me, if I wanted to. The only thing I am not crazy about is the speaker. It's loud enough, since I'm sitting right here next to it. But like most computers I've encountered, it's not the best speaker. My experience is that it really needs to be hooked up to an external speaker to get the best sound quality. I haven't experimented with that, so I can only assume the sound is pretty good, but nothing special. Everything loads quickly. No lag at all. That was something that was starting to bother me about my older computer. I believe I got that one in 2014, and had Windows 7, so it was definitely time for an upgrade. One feature I really appreciate is the type of cord and battery this laptop has. It uses the same charger as a cell phone, and it doesn't hurt the battery life if I keep it plugged in all the time. I don't know how new that sort of thing is on laptops, but it sure makes it nice to not have to worry about if I've let my battery run down enough to charge it again. All in all, this laptop was a great buy for me, and I am really enjoying having it for the last month. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is trying to decide if this is a quality item. You won't regret buying this cute computer.

I bought this laptop for my wife, who was frustrated using my very ancient Acer laptop, which is abominably slow to start and use. She is not especially tech-savvy and always afraid she will somehow make a mistake and screw up a computer. This laptop seems pretty sturdy and has not had a glitch even with an amateur hand on it. As time on Windows 10 is running out, one reason I bought this is for the Windows 11 feature. The old laptop cannot accommodate Windows 11. This NIMO laptop has 16Gb RAM and a 1 Tb hard drive. It is almost instantaneously-fast to start and use. It feels sturdy and sound. Thus far, it has performed without a hitch - no freezing up. The battery works effectively and lasts for a longer time than we need it because it is usually plugged into power. (I've only used it on battery power for about 3 hours so far and it worked great. It has a lot of "bells and whistles" and I have not used all of its many features, so I am still discovering its limits, and am very pleased with all the features it has. One surprising feature that I am impressed with is the "talk to text" ability, which is very accurate and fast. The price on this laptop was especially good and a consideration when I was researching PCs. I will probably but another NIMO laptop for myself before the end of Windows 10. My own laptop and desktop PCs encountered a major crash over a year ago and had to have major work done by the Geek Squad. So as it appears now, I'll be looking to get another NIMO.

Update 05/01/2016 I had to return it because it got a power management defective it couldn't charge when turn the laptop on! I had tried many to fix it but still doesn't work! Gaming: Good! It only for light to moderate gaming. Video Editing: Excellent! Multitasking: Excellent! Big Screen: Excellent! Overall Good! Happy purchase, and outstanding for the spec with the price. It's faster than my old laptop. This was a super great upgrade! The laptop body itself is metal, thin, and sleek, and it looks professional. Everything from top to bottom was amazing. Before I make a purchase, what MHz RAM did they provide? Their website said Adata DDR5 4600; actually, it's 5600! This laptop is for my creative studio, video editing, and all graphic design. It works great for on-site and remote work! In my case, the first time the operation started was rough! After pressing the start button, it left a dark screen; it was supposed to show a loading screen, and I had to press F8 to fix it. You guys need to stay calm before putting the return item, though, Windows 11 Home edition! But overall, I am very happy after the disaster!

I bought this because I want to see how their cheapest laptop compares to the higher end ones. I had this laptop for about a month now. My first impressions when opening the box was how light the device was. Setting up the device took about 30 minutes, you need a Microsoft email and a wifi connection to set up. I was able to connect it to my mobile hotspot just fine. I setup the finger print reader, but they also prompted me and have only been letting me sign in with the microsoft pin at the login screen. The finger print reader seemed to read fine though. When I finished setting up the device I was able to automatically start downloading Chrome browser and surf the web. All the sites are pretty easy to access , although there is a slight learning curve : the scroll feature. When certain sites do not have a scroll button or to not have your hand suffer from scroll fatigue (holding the scroll button to scroll ) you have to use 2 fingers on the track pad to easily scroll up and down the page . You also have to get used to the 'pinch to zoom' feature (zooming in and out with the trackpad on certain pages) . I found myself zooming in on some pages and couldn't figure out how to zoom out until I looked it up. I couldn't turn this 'pinch to zoom' feature off in Windows 11 when going to the trackpad settings, and it's different from the browser zoom in and out features. The speakers aren't bad, but they could be better. It's something to used to if you're used to a lot of bass in your speakers. It shouldn't hinder you from buying it because the speakers do it's job and they aren't terrible. They get pretty loud if you have it at max volume. The battery life is questionable. The battery lasts for about 3-4 hours off the charger with surfing on the internet (not demanding much like gaming). I like the convenience of being able to use any USB-C charger to charge it though. Overall, if you're in a pinch and need to buy a laptop I would say this device would get everything you need to get done if you intend to surf the web and watch video content. I think this laptop performed just as well as the other ones. The only thing I question is how long it'll last before it runs into issues. You probably should consider the other higher spec models if you want more battery life or do other demanding things like gaming or something that requires a lot of battery.

This laptop is honestly a steal at the price! It’s beautiful, sleek and extremely functional. It has great graphics and audio. It can handle doing many different tasks at once (which is great because I need to have a lot of split screens due to schoolwork.) The keyboard is nice and the keys make a nice soft clicking sound, so it’s great for taking notes in a quite class or in the library (as long as you’re not too aggressive with typing of course). It’s great at keeping up with what you need to do, the only downside is the battery does not last the longest. I would say I have to charged it every few hours, but as long as you’re near a charging port (I thankfully am in most of my classes) it shouldn’t cause too much of an issue. Overall this laptop is AMAZING! I highly recommend it to someone who needs the power of a $1000+ laptop but not the budget for one.

This laptop is a waste of money. I've had it for a year and have had nothing but problems with it for the last six months. The first issue was the charger died and would not charge the battery. I contacted customer support and they sent me a new charger in the mail pretty quickly. Then about two months ago I noticed that the touchpad had stopped working. I tried to trouble shoot the issue and fix it but nothing worked. Thankfully I know how to operate a PC without a mouse, so I figured I would just wipe the system and reinstall Windows 11. Big mistake. Now I need to reinstall the WIFI network, but there's no support downloads on the website for me to download, but there's a bunch of links to get my device repaired and check the warrenty! I bought this laptop because I needed something lightweight to take with me when I travel for work, which means it is packed in a laptop carring case and moved by car within a 20 mile radus from my home, it shouldn't be breaking down within a year of internet surfing and basic paperwork use. Now I get to toss this and save up for another, better laptop, which is what I should of done a year ago!

I felt the need to review this mostly because the conflicting info on reddit and Amazon. I needed a laptop for school, business, coding, and occasionally some IT stuff like spinning up virtual machines and sometimes playing league of legends. To be clear I didn't get this laptop to game but I've seen plenty of people disappointed on here blaming the company. Get a dedicated GPU and stop writing bad reviews because you are ignorant and don't know computer hardware. The laptop is made full chassis aluminum which feels nice. I haven't seen it bend or do anything crazy.finger print scanner works so that's a nice feature that works. You can upgrade the memory which is really the only reason I bought it. Two free slots and mine came with a single 32GB stick I threw in another 16 of sodimm 5 in it from gakill and it worked fine in flex mode. It's snappy but that because of the hardware and the 144hz screen I can tell when I'm playing league or just surfing the web or doing anything really. It's a great product for the money and speed and battery life are great too. The weight is good but she's a 17inch laptop better than a 8 pound battle axe for sure light enough I don't break my back hauling it around. Also I checked the specs in cpuz and other softwares to make sure the hardware checks out cause everyone keeps saying they are sketchy vendors and every checks back out with what I originally ordered. I haven't had to call their support team and hopefully I don't because this laptop is pretty solid for the price. Anything in the mainstream brands you are easily paying over 2400. Hope this review helps people who are on the fence still.

I bought this computer prior to starting a new position working remotely. The specs for this computer being much higher than specs for other computers of a similar price range. Even bigger plus was the color because, I love Rose Gold, okay? Even further, I loved that this computer was American-made by a small business and I am all for supporting that. I received it faster than expected. It was super nice, sturdy without being heavy. Nice, big screen, the camera has a privacy sheild. I love the full keyboard and the fingerprint feature. I abolutely adore the logo (side note haha) I am returning it only because I found that I needed a better graphics card- the four cores weren't quite cutting it but this is still a great price for this computer I just did not know I would need a more powerful card than the one in this machine but I am going with an upgraded version from this company and have already ordered it. I really hope more people buy from them. I think they have potential. Keep up the good work Nimo.
