    • Looked great, until I found loose power wire connections
This harness looks really nice and I would have liked it a lot more had it worked; but, for some reason the dork who assembled it simply pushed two 12AWG (power) and one 20AWG (control) wires into the back of the relay connector without crimping or soldering anything; all three wires were loose and free to move around. The two main negative power wires (fused at 40A) were intermittently connected by proximity alone. To top it off, the whole mess was encased in shrink tubing where the lazy connection was hidden from view. When in operation, this kind of connection is horribly intermittent, usually overheats, and is bad for the light it's connected to. Everyone makes mistakes and I'm willing to forgive a mistake, but this was NOT a mistake, it was lazy assembly without any quality control check. Had I put a load on it before discovering the issue, damage could easily have ensued. I could return this to Amazon and they would pay shipping and refund what I paid, but it won't make up for my loss of time installing, troubleshooting, uninstalling, returning, installing a new one, and returning the old one. If you buy a nilight harness, please physically check all electrical connections before installing it. If you're on a deadline, you may want to buy two in case one is faulty, and then return one. I sure hope their other products are assembled better and QC checked before inflicting them upon an unsuspecting consumer. I'd hate to buy a light bar assembled this sloppily. ... show more

So I installed this to a led light bar a few weeks ago. The other morning I went out to my truck to go to work and I noticed smoke coming out from under my hood. I opened the door and the cab was full of smoke too. What happened is the wire harness was melting in my truck and under the hood. So I ripped the connections off the battery. Bought wire harness to Hook up light bar on the front of my tractor for when I need to removed snow. Switch did not work and light bar stayed on even though the switch was off the wire harness started to smoke and starting melting had to unhook from battery before tractor and garage were to start on fire, this harness is a hazard, gave one star because I can not give zero stars, do not buy ... show more

After a picture perfect assembly of this product, product melted during attempted use. I set the product up and connected it to my light bar, then I turned my car on to test it. The light bar didn't turn on, so I looked back under to the hood to see fumes coming off of the wiring. The fumes came from the wiring that ran from the relay to the switch, and the entire wire melted. In the process of melting itself, the wiring harness also melted other wiring in my car that now needs to be replaced. Do not buy this product, unless you want to run the risk of doing additional damage to your car. ... show more

Don't buy! When I bought this I thought it looked great. I've been an electronics tech for the government for 10 years, I knew what to look for. Everything looked 8n great shape, connectors we're crimped on and tight, insulation was thick and the heat shrink all looked good. Ran the harness, hooked it up per instructions, flipped the switch...and nothing. I start to troubleshoot, looking at connections, checking my ground, etc. That's when it started to smoke. The wires have resistance somewhere, got hot, and the insulation melted shorting out the wires. Got the harness out of there as fast as possible, Switch is too big for the standard switch and requires some work, but lengrh was good. ... show more

    • Ok harness, but far from perfect
For the most part it’s not a bad harness, but it’s got a couple flaws I can’t deal with. I needed way more length on the switch end. I couldn’t run this neatly from the passenger side to the driver side and then through the firewall the way I wanted. My battery is on the passenger side towards the front end, so that took up all the slack I had. I just barely got it connected and the cord was awkwardly positioned. I’m looking for better options. You get plenty slack on the light end though. I like the rocker switch, it didn’t come with anything to mount it. It’s really a shame since it does look nice. ... show more
