I have the 70-200 2.8 that I used with the adapter. I wanted my first z lens to be magical. It is! It's not that much lighter than the original. There's a lot of glass working. This is becoming my favorite lens to use. The versatility and sharp focus make it a must have for my portrait work. The colors it renders and depth of field while maintaining a sharp focus at lighting fast speed make it well worth the investment.

Bought this as a refurb, but couldn't tell it had been used. This lens has phenomenal sharpness, speed, clarity, and color. If you are using an adapter with your old AFS lens on a Z body, then you are missing a lot. However, I have to deduct a star for the price - it's just SO expensive!
