This is just a must have for any Nikon setup. The 35mm perspective is just perfect and the clinical sharpness is uncanny. My brand new Nikon NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.8 S | Premium Large Aperture 35mm Prime Lens for Z Series mirrorless cameras works great in manual mode and does not perform as well as I expected it to in Auto. I'm using it with my Z9 and I do almost exclusively static photography and am happy with it. It is A Nikon, so it is well built and of course A bit expensive. The Nikon 85mm 1.8 is a great lens...especially for the price. It was much better to get this lens than the 85mm 1.2 that cost over 3 times the price. I have all the 1.8 S line lens for the Z mounts.
