Description says white box. Mine came wrapped in bubble wrap in a brown cardboard box, which was inside a cardboard box that was very well used, inside another box. Well padded though with brown kraft/packing paper. Renewed term is subjective I suppose as there was dust in the corners/joints of the lens body. Nothing a soft bristled toothbrush won't clean. As far as operation it works well, quiet in focusing, clarity is good, focus spot on. No nicks, scratches, chips, etc on the body.
