Can't be beat for the price. The 940 ir settings are powerful enough that I keep the stronger 840 off. The 3x power view gets pixalated and the camera isn't razor sharp but it gives me very good night vision performance at a super low cost. The prowl works as advertised. I can see in completely dark room with the built in IR emitter. I am not worried about broadcasting my location as it is used to watch for coyotes at night; eventually, will try to hunt w it and an IR laser. Battery life has been great-several hours on a single charge is nice. At the end of the day, I’d say it’s work a purchase if you need to see at night. ... show more

No, these are not military-grade. But they do offer a 940nm IR option, so my face is not some nice red light to point at. But for the money, these are really nice. Knocking 1 star off due to battery should have an option for external. I can bring a spare and open it up with a screwdriver to swap. The picture is not the highest quality, but I am impressed for the money and I do think these will last. I cannot say you always get what you pay for; some expensive stuff is garbage. This product is amazing and I did not notice hardly any any delay on 60fps. The furthest range out of a digital 1x monicular device for sure and a very wide field of view with a very clear screen. Its super lightweight also. The zoom ability is a bonus. Highly recommend this.

Its a gimmick. This strap doesnt hold the heavy google up on your face in a position you can see thru. Cheap but if you want to have something to see outside in the backyard with it works.

I have used night vision in the Marines and on SWAT, while this isn't as good as a PVS14 this product is incredible for $200. It also comes with a dovetail mount and fits perfect in a Wilcox G24.
