We had a very old box frame with slats and the noise was ridiculous when u climbed into bed. This frame is perfectly designed to be unfolded and secured with strong Allen wrench type bolts (they even give you a couple extra!). The instructions are easy to follow, had the job done in 20 minutes. Throw on a futon mattress with memory foam and you're sleeping on a quiet, sturdy cloud! For $100, it was the perfect solution for quiet nights and peace of mind from here on out. Our only regret is that we waited so Long!

This is a very good bed frame. It is attractive and sturdy. The directions to put it together are pretty easy to follow, but if you are not used to putting things together, (or elderly) you should have someone assist you when assembling it. I have an older brain and was stumped at first, but after realizing that I should assemble it upside down, because I had no one to hold the pieces together while screwing them together, it went fast after that. It took me an hour to assemble by myself. All parts and tools are enclosed in package. It would be quick work for someone who is experienced in putting things together.

I put this together myself in about an hour. Very sturdy, so easy to assemble. Easy to follow picture instructions and has all the hardware in separate packets. No parts were missing and everything was labeled. I did purchase mattress holders for the sides and lag screwed it to my headboard so it stays put.

I only gave 4 stars because I ordered a CK and got a K. After putting it together by myself I decided I was too lazy to take it apart and exchange for the correct size. Other than that, easy to put together and study. Its a lot higher than I anticipated, but that's on me I didn't measure the height before purchasing. Though it does give quit a bit of storage space underneath, which we definitely needed. SO far, overall great purchase.

The directions were pictures without any explanations. The sizes of the screws were off in picture description, so some were trial and error. It feels sturdy and I hope I’m still 18 inches off the ground by morning.
