When I opened the package it seemed to be of good quality. It has a nice case to keep it all in. When I read the directions they were a bit confusing. Make sure to put the batteries in as indicated on the product. The power button has to be pressed and held for a few seconds. Once it was on I could clearly see in the dark. It also has a very nice feature where you can take pictures and video. I'm still playing and learning the product but I am very happy with the product. I want to thank Visiocrest for such a wonderful product. My review is going to be honest and fair. The shipping was fast, the box wasdeliveredin perfect condition. These night vision goggles arrived in a colorful red, gray, and white box. One suggestion is that there could be a bit less company branding on it. That is just a very small detail. The goggles have a very nice, high quality carrying case. This case is very portable. You can carry it, place it on your shoulder, or pack it in a backpack. The stitching is well done. The zipper opens to the compartment. The goggles have a secure section to be stored in to prevent damage from being jostled around. There is a very nice mesh pocket that contains a user manual, a screen or lens cleaning wipe, a clip on strap to connect to the goggles or the case, a USB cable, and a power brick. These additional items really show the care Visiocrest places with their product. The goggles themselves are built to last. Rubberized finger grips are placed in a honeycomb shape on top of the goggles. This makes it easier to use the goggles comfortably, without fear of dropping them. On each side, right under the grips, you will see the battery compartment. Here is where I would suggest having a different type of closure. The pull tabs seem a bit fragile. I would have liked to see a magnetic type or a twist switch instead of a pull tab. Batteries are included! I would like to suggest getting an extra pair. The batteries died out too soon for me. I was able to get extra, and I got plenty of viewing time. The reason for the low battery life for me was because I was enjoying recording too much. This feature is fantastic! The still pictures are great, as well. The views are amazing! You may have to adjust to your own visual ability but it is very easy to do so. I was very surprised, pleasantly, how good the picture was. Who would love these goggles? Photographers who would like to get some shots or film of nocturnal creatures or other wildlife. Parents who want to check on their children at night without turning lights on, possibly waking them up. People wanting to know who is speaking around the property in the middle of the night. Campers Hikers Hunters Lots of people will adore these night vision goggles. Definitely a great gift idea! ... show more

    • picture quality not so good
i dont know about everbody else but mine has a bad picture quality, it starts out look crisp at night and the it gets fuzzy and then crisp again. i think something is wrong with mine UPDATE. returned the first pair and got the second pair 2 days later. the picture quality was flawless except when i turned the ir on i could see a triangular white shape right in the middle of the screen.if i took a picture it was captured if i took video it was captured also. if you look down the tube where the ir led is located thats the part that somehow was partly showing on the screen. so i returned and got a refund. Bad quality control is all i can say. yours maybe the good one but i got the bad ones. good luck if you order one. ... show more

First complaint is the user manual that comes with the goggles. It doesn't even cover the basic functions of the goggles (taking photos or videos). When initially setting it up the manual tells you how to install the batteries, but does not tell you that they need to be charged for at least 10 hours until the very back of the manual. That information should be in the beginning under installing the batteries. The manual does explain the various parts of the goggles, but leaving out a key element the enter key. It just so happens that it also the power button. To turn on/off the device you press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. To use it as the enter key when adjusting the settings it takes just a quick tap. Same thing when taking videos/photos, just a tap on the power button. Now back to those batteries that were installed properly and charged for a full 10+ hours as barely mentioned in the instruction manual. I have not been able to keep a charge or use the goggles for more than 5-10 minutes at a time. (Support has been contacted and I am awaiting their response.) The manual suggests a 3 hour battery life with use of the IR lights, yet I was seeing 5-10 minutes without the lights. As with any digital zoom the images become pixelated/blurry/grainy the higher you go. The goggles have a manual focus ring with a high focal distance and cannot really be used in close quarters. I could not focus on anything closer than 10 feet. Picture is bright and clear in day and night modes until you engage the digital magnification. Video saves in .avi format on the micro SD which came installed in the goggles.     • No good batteries
1st off these things are awesome! For the price it's definitely a must have. However the cheap batteries that come with will let you down asap! Overnight charged and only 5min on one 🔋 before it died so in other words buy batteries with it too.
