So the unit is not a super high-end military spec device but don't let that scare you. Neither is the price! This is great for home or hunting use. It works pretty dang well and the ability to capture pictures and video is excellent. We live in a rural area with only the moon and stars to provide any sort of light so these things do come in quite handy when trying to access some noise without putting ourselves in any real danger. I've purchase a couple other IR monoculars from sporting goods stores for around $150. Both of them had very poor IR emitters which resulted in poor quality images. This IR binocular is so much better. The emitter is decent which results is in clearer image. Don't expect great photos or video from this, but it works well identifying up to about 200 yards. ... show more

This is a great budget friendly night vision binoculars. The image quality is above average for this price point. The digital zoom quality is acceptable as well. It has easy menu navigation. The only drawback I've come across is the poor battery life. It takes 8 AA's and goes through them fairly quickly. The easiest option I found was to utilize a power bank and plug it directly into the unit. The location of the plug makes it a bit tricky to hit some of the buttons on top of the binoculars but it's well worth it not having to go through bunch of batteries. ... show more

These are not military grade or style but all in all pretty decent. it's a bit awkward at first but once you're used to them they work well. I've found that mounting them to a tripod works best for me. The large view screen is different than regular binoculars but the large format screen is nice once you get use to it. I used it to find out what kind of beast was raiding our trash cans. It turned out to be the neighbors dogs. It was nice to be able to show her the video of her babies spreading trash. To be honest I was relived it wasn't a bear. These are fun but if you are looking for mountable NVG's keep looking. ... show more

It's kind of crazy that you can actually see things in the dark that you don't normally see! Purchased for walking to the deer stand in the morning, and served its purpose well. Provides good night vision, has an adjustable headset, has a nice visual range appropriate for seeing for hiking/checking out the backyard, etc. A fun toy for camping, too! It says it is for adults but also fit my teenage son. Cool toy, but also useful for nighttime or early dawn walking, or looking out from a deer stand in the early hours to track movement. ... show more

This is a fun set to play with. I really enjoy playing with night vision and have a few different sets at my house. Right off the bat I would have liked to see rechargeable batteries given the price point however that does not take too much away from the device. Use is easy and it feels good in the hands. Using the zoom does have a substantial delay however it shows decadently clear images at high zoom. These are digital so they do need use of an IR light to use, which is built in. If you are unaware IR emitters can create a red glow when in use that shows at night, please be aware as this is not meant for stealth. in all, these would be a great buy for digital night vision. ... show more

These goggles are great quality! You do not HAVE to only use for night vision. Has a digital zoom that works well. On the bottom, has a spot for a tripod as well as a focus dial. The one downside is that it burned through 8 AA batteries rather quickly, but I was also messing with settings and learning the functions. (I decided to power this with a Powerbank and by usb cable so that i get longer use and dont have to buy new batteries. You can see it in my outdoor picture)This came with a 32gb storage card so I can store my pictures and videos in the moment. ... show more
