With Secure App-Based Bluetooth Setup, there is no need to connect a TV or monitor for setup or viewing (optional). You can easily configure your system right from the app on your smartphone or tablet with the Bluetooth connection. While a TV or monitor is not required, with Google Assistant you can use simple voice commands to stream camera footage directly to your TV or monitor, all while remaining hands free. Each camera has 2-Way Audio (talk & listen) as well as a built-in siren and preset voice alerts. From within the app, you can easily activate the built-in siren, startling intruders and sending them packing. Have a guest but can’t get to them? Use a preset voice alert to let them know! Smart Detection Technology including Human Detection, Facial Capture and Vehicle Alerts reduce the risk of false alarms, keeping you safe and well protected. Facial Capture lets you see who is on your property by snapping a photo and sending the image to your Smart Device. Motion-activated dual spotlights flood your yard with bright lights when human motion is detected, instantly warding off trespassers. Need more coverage? I could not get the device to synch with my pad after many tries. I opted to return it. I was finally able to synch it easily on another pad. Seemed to work fine overnight. I was conidering keeping it but was not able to maintain a signal while out of my house. I have good 5g wifi at home and my pad has very good mobile wifi, so unsure why I was losing contact. Decided to continue with the return. May opt latsr for a hardwired system. ... show more

    • Happy so far, things are working as expected
Was a bit worried about the Android app when I saw the reviews but purchased to investigate for myself. Everything worked as well as expected. The cameras and the system all setup well without issue. The app UX could use a little work, it's not exactly top tier UI work but it works well so far. The app was updated a few months ago, so maybe they improved things since the older reviews were posted. I am replacing Nest Camera in order to have better control over the full video data. The camera quality is similar, however the main disappointments; - The camera field is 100° and I have been used to 130° so not getting as good of coverage - The camera mount only moves up and down, doesn't move side to side. - The object detection isn't as good as Google, as to be expected, but I am getting "Human" presence detection when there isn't anything in frame moving. - Haven't found a way to disable night vision Regarding the NVR, so far everything works well, everything paired without issue and the UI seems typical with other systems. It'd be nice if it had a web interface so you didn't have to physically connect it to a monitor and mouse, it'd be a bit easier to work with it in a closet etc. ... show more

I got this on at more than half off and still paid to much. I would have been better off paying someone to stand in my backyard and knock on my door if they saw something. The cameras report false positives about a dozen times a night making it impossible to use... Unless your want to sift through 50 clips of maybe nothing, maybe something? It's hard to know because half the clips go black after playing for 10-15 seconds on the app, so you wouldn't know even if there was something. The software for PC also didn't work. I don't know if this is a Windows 11 issue but after spending two days trying to get it setup I called tech support and after a call back was sent a link to beta software that while works, loses connections to random cameras throughout the day. Sometimes for minutes, other times for hours. So that really makes it this more of a warning to others that they think you have a camera system, but really you have a kids toy. ... show more

    • You can only export events and it misses most of them.
These cameras seemed like a good deal. They have decent video quality. Reasonably priced. But they have a huge flaws! Even though it allows you to record continuously it only lets you export events. What’s the point of continuous recording if you can’t pick and choose what parts of the video you want to export. And The problem with the events is that it misses most of the events. Or it cuts them short. There isn’t a cloud service either. The customer support team could care less and good luck trying to get your money back. Do not waste your money on anything night owl. Spend a little more and get some cameras that actually work. ... show more
