I did a lot of research and settled on this cabinet bed. It truly is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. When folded up it looks like a dresser and doesn’t take up much space in a small second bedroom in our apartment. It’s easy to set up and take down. The mattress is quite comfortable and we put a foam topper on it under a mattress cover. We tried it out before having guests sleep on it and it is as comfortable as our own bed. We are extremely pleased with this purchase. We paid for delivery to our apartment and the delivery man brought it up and unboxed it for us. I’d recommend spending the extra money for this. I could not have brought it up from curbside myself…it’s a big piece of furniture, well-made and heavy.

Overall, it’s a great piece of furniture. This bed is surprisingly comfortable. The mattress, though thin, is more comfortable than my own bed. No one has slept in it as of yet. But I believe there won’t be any complaints. It came assembled without any issues. As previously mentioned by another reviewer, it is much bigger than I anticipated, so be sure to measure your room. My only complaint is more about the color. I ordered the gray, but it definitely is brown. I looked online again to compare, and the manufacturers pictures, as well as the customer pictures, are definitely a different color than mine. That is pretty disappointing to me. The decor of my room is now miss matched. I added 3 pictures for comparison. Pictures 1 and 3 are of my cube in two locations, both with natural lighting from the window. Picture 2 is the stock manufacturer picture of the Stonewash gray I ordered. I just wish that something could be done about the color.

We had to make special arrangements to meet the semi-truck driver at the Lowes parking lot, as he could not turn around on our cul de sac. We went to great lengths to unbox it right on his truck to inspect for damage, as was repeatedly advised. That took a while and the driver was friendly, but not very helpful, although he did help my husband get it loaded, which was fine in our opinion, since we had to meet him to load it in the first place. All looked good and we got it in our two vehicles in pieces to bring home. Yes, we had a mini van and a Toyota Tacoma and it took every bit of both vehicles. Once we got it home, it was not too difficult to bring in the house one piece at a time and set up in our office right inside our front. Had we needed to take it much further, I think my husband would have had to find some helper. It is very sturdy and quite attractive and fit in our space perfectly (which is tight). We've slept on it several nights and it is very comfortable, especially with a quality mattress pad. It is very nice, but recommend you have a plan as it is big and heavy!

Although I could have bought this model to assemble myself, I decided to buy the assembled version and save myself the aggravation. I bought this from SDS and Nick is great to work with. I also arranged with him to get this put in my room of choice at an additional cost but again saving myself and my husband time and aggravation. We are older so we don't want to throw out our backs at this point in life. The first unit arrived damaged so we did not accept it. I contacted SDS and they immediately sent out another unit. Awesome service there. The new unit arrived today in perfect condition. Even the delivery guys were impressed with it as we quickly put it in the bed position. The mattress is nice and appears to be reasonably thick. Based on the reviews, I already purchased a topper for it which I am certain will make it even more comfortable. The bed was very easy to put in sleeping position. The latches functioned smoothly and it worked perfectly. It seems to be really comfortable especially with a two inch topper (three inches would probably work if you want it softer). This should accommodate any company that we get in comfort. When not in use, it will just serve as a cabinet to place some stuff on since this room is also my office. It just gives us better space for other things like my treadmill but still allows us to have someplace comfortable for company. I would say this is one of the best purchases I have made with Amazon. Many thanks to SDS for offering such great customer service. I am extremely happy!!!

I was really nervous about ordering this expensive piece of furniture and not quite sure if I was picking the right color. Also, I having read the reviews I was worried about making sure it was in great condition before I let the delivery driver go. The bed arrived perfectly well packaged And the delivery driver was wonderful and put the bed in the garage. There was very minimal set up. The majority of time was spent in taking all the bubble wrap off. The mattress did not have any chemical off smell and is very comfortable. I love the color and the quality and I’m just so pleased with my purchase. This is a queen size bed, and I was worried I would not be able to lift the top off by myself, but I followed the instructions on the video, and I was able to do that as a 66-year old medium size woman. My linens, pillows and bedspread, all fit on top of the mattress under the cover. Very very pleased!
