The deliver individual waited until we inspected the order for any damage to the box…etc. From this seller, the bed comes hallway assembled for you and well protected on every level. Piece is nicely constructed, clean lines, well packaged. I purchased one I needed to assemble. The instructions were NOT included in the package. I'm not sure if this is normal but plenty of QR codes to access instructions online. I would have preferred written paper instructions, but also understand saving a tree or two. Although packed i styrofoam which I hate. Instructions were vague in a couple of places as to which way something was assembled, which case me to have to redo a couple of pieces. 14 wood screws for a portion of the bed which did NOT screw in easy and needed some additional pre-drilling. Otherwise easy to assemble with barrel nuts and bolts. Mattress seems comfy although no one has slept on it yet. ... show more

    • Great Concept, Not Perfect
First the good: - Really cool concept - Looks good - I got the gray one which is gray with the slightest brown tint. - Fit and finish is pretty good - The mattress that comes with it is decent - nice and soft Next, unfortunately, the not as good. When reading the following comments please keep in mind that nothing has broken on mine (although it hasn't been slept on by two adults yet) and I don't have any proof for what I say. - I should have considered this more before purchasing, but I have some serious doubts that this thing will hold 2 regular 'modern' adults without starting to seriously bow in the center (making a very uncomfortable bed for 2 people) or even cracking. Keep in mind that a bed is often sat on at an edge or at the foot of the bed. That is a point load and the bed has to be able to handle. Since returning this is out of the question I am using metal L brackets to beef it up and will be building wooden center supports to make this thing stronger. Those supports will just have to be stored in my garage when not using in bed form. - The mattress while comfortable may be a little too thin again for 'modern' adults. I will be bolstering with another mattress underneath to provide additional thickness. I'm not giving this a bad rating because it is nicely built, looks good, and may work fine if you will be using for kids or pretty light adults. But if your guests are like most adults today then you might think a little harder if this will work for you. Personally, I kind of wish I hadn't purchased. ... show more

My husband and I needed a Murphy bed for a temporary living space. (Sold our home, waiting a few months to buy a new one). So, cue Murphy bed. They are FAR too expensive for our budget so we found this one, with mattress included. I am giving an initial review just after assembly. Haven’t tried mattress out yet, will update with picture and comfort level later. But just initial thoughts, HEAVY duty. Much emphasis on heavy. It’s 175 pounds of heavy. I almost broke my back helping my husband carry down a flight of steps. Definitely a multi man lift lol anyway, super nice piece of furniture. Package came well wrapped. Built well (so far) and extensive directions. Husband is definitely not the most handy-man but he assembled it in about 2 and a half hours. ... show more

Like most said in their reviews it’s a pain to put together. Definitely takes an hour with two people. The bed itself I believe is a little over priced for its lack of sturdiness. It creaks a lot when getting into it which is off putting but otherwise feels okay as far as comfort considering it has a thinner, fold up foam mattress. I do like the amount of space this saves when guests aren’t visiting and the fact that it has enough room to store the pillows and blankets. So with the space saving features & the look of it, I’d recommend this. ... show more

    • Functionality that increases Versatility
Bought this murphy bed to allow my extra room to serve as an office, workout space and occasional bedroom. It will serve this purpose. Haven't slept on it yet but it seems comfortable. It shipped ok with just a few minor blemishes. You do end up with a large wooden palet. Instructions and videos could be clearer on a couple of points.
