First off, packaging, fit, finish and quality was impressive. I thought we had a winner here. Instructions are fairly straightforward with a number/letter system for hardware. They did mislabel a piece for the drawers. The piece has a #9 but the instructions show it as a #12 at the end. It's one of the dividers for the shoe drawer. So, what is my problem and why do they get one star? Well, I will tell you and you can see my attached pictures. When you install the drawers to the cabinet there are two screws, one for each side, with a spacer that go into a preset threaded hole, there's no stopper and the screw is too long so I'm carefully screwing and tightening the drawer and the screw pops right out the side of the press board. No warning, no indication it could happen. Now I have a giant hole. Why would we make a screw that's too long? I am asking you Nicetree? You don't even realize this can happen until it's too late and you here the sound of crunching particle board breaking through. And no power tools here, just a Phillips screwdriver. It's the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Could have been completely avoided with a screw that was a quarter of an inch shorter. And to boot, I just looked at the order invoice and my wife paid over $100 for this stupid thing and now it's already ruined before I put one pair of shoes in. VERY DISPPOINTED. ... show more

I bought this shelve last week and I love it! The instructions were very easy to follow and the assembly was a breeze! I have bought furniture before from other brands and this is the first time I felt fine, confident and not frustrated with the product and assembly. I would highly recommend it.

The good: • The instructions were pretty clear and helpful, unlike many furniture guides. Just a couple of typos that can be logic'ed out. • The finished product looks great for the price. • Very little noticeable blemishes. The bad: • You absolutely need to anchor this. 100% guaranteed. While the build quality feels good enough, it just isn't stable enough at the base to hold, especially if you'll have full racks of shoes you're pulling out with force. It will want to tip forward. It's a bummer to have to put more holes in our wall, because it's already built. • Uses cam locks which you really need to be gentle with or risk breaking the hardware. Didn't encounter an issue - I just heavily dislike cam locks. **For those putting it together** The #9 boards are written as #12 on the instructions. There is no #12, so you'll be slotting the #9's in when you're finishing up on the drawers at the very end. ... show more

This is a beautiful shoe storage cabinet. Installation is relatively easy considering all the parts involved. Took me about 1.5hr. Do yourself a favor and have a decent electric screwdriver, because you’ll be screwing down a fair number of screws during installation. It feels sturdy and stable.
