When I opened the package,I was expecting to have lots of small pieces but I wasn't thinking about the fact that it would be stuck all together and packed sort of like snow. I had to spend the next hour pulling a small snowball of memory foam and pulling it apart,putting it into the pillowcase. It looked pretty good when I was done but it took some time-and it still needs to "grow" overnight before I sleep on it. I'm sharing these pictures to show how I used the 5lb bag of filler foam. It came vacuum sealed and in good condition. No smells or hard pieces. The pieces filled out nicely after pulling them part. I was thinking 5lbs would be enough to fill these two big joe chairs that were lacking filling to my liking. The pink chair is the level of fill BEFORE adding in this filler. I ended up using the entire bag on just the 1 gray chair. It looked exactly like the pink one before the filler, so you can def. see the difference. They gray one is finally to my liking! I'd recommend this for sure, just beware that 5lbs doesn't go as far as you'd think! ... show more

This bag is super heavy. When opened, the foam expands and there's a ton of it! Awesome value for the price. I like to make pillows with themed fabric, and this is an awesome way to fill my pillows for not a ton of money. A great money saver for crafters. Very soft foam bits with no weird smell. My only complaint about this product is the smell, but I've used it to re-stuff several pillows and after just a day, the smell does not seem to have stuck around (might have just been from the packaging?). Regardless, it has worked really well to re-stuff some pillows. Easy to use; small enough pieces that it doesn't make a bunch of clumps/lumps. I was able to make two of my squishy pillows with this package of foam. I even had a bit left over for the next project. It arrives a bit flattened in a roll. As you unroll it the foam will already start to expand and separate. Just let it expand for a bit and it will be a lot easier to stuff your project. I did weigh it and with the packaging it is indeed a little over 5 lbs. This is a great price for the amount you get. The chunks are the perfect size for pillows, chairs, and medium-large stuffed animals. I wouldn't use this size chunks on a small stuffed animal.
