The bottom brace buckeled. The sprocket kept misaligning and you would have to manually adjust it with your fingers. The cable kept coming out and was incredibly hard to get back in each time. The cable also somehow got on the outside of the release bar once and was wedged in between the casing and the spool. The middle bolt that holds the sprocket does not have a sleeve around it so when you crank the winch the whole bolt turns loosing the nut that holds it together.. Very Dangerous!! I gave this product the benifit of the doubt after reading some reviews but they were right.. This is not safe to use.. I was only using on 2 tons.. If it had been tons I feel like it would have came completely apart and someone could have been seriously injured.. Glad I'm returning this piece of junk.. ... show more

    • VERY CHEAP PRODUCT
I BOUGHT IT RECENTLY TO USE IN A PROJECT IN VERY FIRST TRY IT GOT DAMAGED AND MULFUNCTIONED. ITS NOT WELL MADE. VERY THIN METAL COMPONENTS NOT MEANT TO BE HEAVY DUTY PROJECT AS THEY ADVERTISED. VERY DISSAPOINTED.

    • Cheap Junk only a 1 star because it made me give it a rating.
First time I used it it flew apart, the tines were only on 1 side and the teeth were so weak they broke, sheared the cotter pin which wasn't much thicker than a needle. Only used it to hoist up a gangway of a dock to deck lever so it could be attached. Have done this nemorous amounts of times with my old one but it got dropped in the lake so purchased this one to replace it....all I can say is cheap junk. ... show more
