🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The racing chair in question is widely praised for its sturdy construction, ease of access, and customizability, accommodating various player sizes. It is highly recommended for those looking for a foldable and space-efficient setup without sacrificing quality in their sim racing experience. However, there are some noted concerns regarding the fit of certain accessories like the Logitech shifter, and the complexity of the folding process. Additionally, the lack of wire management solutions and limited comfort over long play sessions were mentioned by some reviewers.

Pros

  • 🏁 Sturdy and stable, with no wobble during intense gameplay
  • 🛠️ Fairly customizable to suit different player sizes
  • 👍 Easy to access and comfortable for short sessions
  • 🔄 Foldable design makes for a space-saving solution

Cons

  • ⚙️ Some accessories like the Logitech shifter may not fit perfectly
  • 🔧 Folding process can be more complicated than advertised
  • 🔋 Wire management is lacking, requiring additional fixes
  • 👾 Long play sessions may lead to discomfort without extra cushions

Should I Buy It?

If you're tight on space and need a compact racing sim setup, this chair offers a solid foundation with some quality-of-life improvements to consider. For those who prioritize a space-efficient, stable, and easily accessible racing chair and are willing to navigate some minor inconveniences, this product comes highly recommended. However, for individuals taller than 6 feet, or those planning to use particular accessories like the Logitech shifter, additional modifications might be necessary for the ideal fit and comfort.

  • Solid first cockpit!
Platform: Racing Cockpit Edition: GT Lite
This is the best folding racing chair, period. Super solid construction, no wobble when you're using it, it's easy to get in and out of, and is fairly customizable to fit players of many different sizes. If you've got the Logitech shifter, it doesn't REALLY fit that well because the folding hub is in the way of the shifter mounting point. Some other shifters probably fit better, but I was able to mount my logitech with a single bolt and the clamps keep it in place. Not an issue, just seems like an oversight. The hubs are really easy to use but they do make folding the chair a bit more difficult than I'd like. Next Level Racing offers a video instructional on how to fold the seat, but they don't fold it the same way as it's folded on the marketing, which is strange. It DOES fold up nearly flat with the wheel and pedals mounted, but it is awkward. Again, it's not a major issue because it does work, but its confusing that they would photograph it folded a certain way and then give instructions to fold it in a different way that makes it less compact. Wire management is lacking, but I'm not sure there's much to do differently. I used small velcro straps. TL;DR - this is a FOLDING chair so there are going to be compromises made. It will never be as good as a stationary setup, but this is the BEST product for anyone who doesn't have enough space to devote to a permanent solution. Compared to 'other' folding chairs, this is an amazing value. Some suggestions for the manufacturer: A lumbar pillow would make a great accessory, I find that I am much more comfortable with a pillow, this could just be a personal preference but the option of adding a matching pillow would've been great. Would LOVE to have a nylon drawstring bag to slide over the seat when it is folded up. The included strap helps keep it from coming unfolded but a drawstring bag would be a cleaner way to store this when not in use. ... show more

  • Great budget sim racer!
Platform: Racing Cockpit Edition: GT Lite
This setup is great for anybody who wants to get a little more serious with sim racing, I have probably about 100 hours in the seat with multiple games and I don’t have many complaints! I’m 6 feet tall and it is slightly cramped for my legs even on the farthest settings but it never gets uncomfortable. This thing is great build quality and I haven’t noticed much flexing besides forwards and backwards if you’re to pull or push on the wheel with some force but nothing left to right. I’d like to see some backrest adjustability as it’s a little too far leaned back for my taste but my fix is putting a pillow between me and the chair and it brings me to the perfect level of lean. There are no cushions so your butt will get a little sore during long sessions but for the price point it’s definitely something I wouldn’t be concerned over. The folding aspect could be better if you keep your wheel mounted but it’s better than not being able to fold it up. I would have also liked an extension on the shifter plate for a hand brake but if you’re creative you can make it work with some heavy duty zipties LOL. All around a great racing sim for the price and Id definitely recommend to ANYBODY looking to get more serious about sim racing! Hope this helps somebody make a decision! :) ... show more

  • Solid Entry Level Racing Chair
Platform: Racing Cockpit Edition: GT Lite
I purchased an entire sim racing setup for my PS5 which included the Thrustmaster T300 with Pedals, PSVR2, and this as my chair. While on the budget end, I do think the chair holds up quite well. I say this having not used other sim racing gear at home before. Pros: Cheap price, decent adjustability, comfortable seating, easy in-and-out usage. Cons: Feels slightly cheap, adjustability, slightly less stable than I would have liked, setup was simple on paper but some parts were difficult to put together. I think you really get what you pay for with this. Obviously, there are much better options out there, but on the budget end of things it's hard to find something that really works. My cons list is fairly long, but as long as you know what you're signing up for I do think this chair serves its purpose. I use it quite regularly and have not run into any notable issues. ... show more

  • Perfect for tall and injured people
Platform: Racing Cockpit Edition: GT Lite
I'm 6'4, 215ish and have had back surgery. I had a previous Next Level Racing wheel stand but it was extremely heavy and built more for shorter people or kids. This one has the built in chair which is super adjustable. I made the back end as high as possible and then raised the front end up almost to the highest point so that I could lean back but still have a great angle to the monitor. I'm not sitting straight up which greatly helps my back. The wheel is nicely positioned right in front of me and is plenty adjustable to get the right height. My shoulders don't hurt like my last stand because the wheel isn't super high up. The shifter can be mounted on either side and is in just the perfect position, and is also adjustable. The chair is comfortable enough, though I will experiment with cushions and pillows only because of my back injuries but I still love it. The build quality is amazing. I am so impressed with how it all comes together. It is all rock solid too, there is no play with the shifter and the wheel doesn't wobble about. Granted, I have an old G27 which isn't the strongest wheel on the market but I have zero complaints. Even at 6'4 the pedals are at a perfect distance as far back as they can go and if I truly needed to go further, I could tweak things further using less bolts or just place the pedals on the floor directly. I spent a few hours assembling everything and tweaking it all to my exact positions and it all folds up and puts away nicely despite not ruining my adjusted positions. Also, it isn't super heavy like my last stand and doesn't require its own chair since this one is built in. This is the single best purchase I have made for sim racing since the wheel itself. ... show more
