  • Outstanding Value Electric Scooter That Gets the Job Done Without Breaking the Bank
Color: U5 PRO(350W 19Miles)
TL;DR: For around $189, this is honestly one of the best value electric scooters I've come across. Setup is simple, the build quality feels solid, it folds up easily, and it serves a very practical purpose without costing a fortune. It is not the fastest or fanciest scooter on the market, but for everyday transportation and convenience, it is hard to beat at this price. 1. Easy Setup Assembly took only a few minutes. The scooter comes mostly assembled and all I had to do was: Attach the handlebars Install 4 bolts Tighten them with the included tool Even someone with zero mechanical experience should have no trouble getting this ready to ride. Mine arrived with about 2 bars of battery charge. I fully charged it before using it extensively, but I did take a few test rides around the block first to verify: Brakes Motor operation Controls Everything worked properly. 2. Real World Performance For reference: I'm 5'8" About 230 lbs The scooter handled my weight without issue. The advertised speed is realistic for lighter riders, but at my weight I found myself riding around 15 mph most of the time. Honestly, that's perfectly fine. I'm in my 40s and scooters already feel a little sketchier than bicycles, especially shorter wheelbase models like this. That's not a complaint about the scooter. That's simply the nature of scooters in general. 3. Why I Bought It I actually own a small electric bike that I prefer riding. It feels: More stable More comfortable More confidence inspiring So why buy this? Portability. This scooter folds up and fits almost anywhere. I use it for: Dropping off vehicles for service Picking up vehicles from detail shops Quick gym trips Short errands Situations where I don't want to walk several miles For those purposes it is fantastic. 4. U5 Pro vs U7 I know some buyers will be comparing models. Personally, I think the U5 Pro is the sweet spot. The U7 costs roughly $100 more and offers: More power Slightly more range Extra lighting features But both have similar top speeds. Unless you live in a very hilly area, I honestly think most buyers would be perfectly happy saving the money and buying the U5 Pro. That's exactly what I chose. 5. Minor Issue The only thing I noticed was a small dent/scratch near the upper stem area. The scooter also had: Slight dust Some fingerprints Partially peeling protective plastic At first I wondered if it was a return. However: The app showed zero miles The box wasn't damaged Everything functioned perfectly So it was likely something that happened during manufacturing or packaging. Would I prefer perfection? Of course. But at $189, I'm also realistic. The scooter works flawlessly, which matters much more to me. 6. Pros Excellent value for the money Easy setup Solid build quality Portable and easy to store Good speed for everyday use Responsive brakes App connectivity works well Great alternative to driving short distances Excellent choice for vehicle drop-offs and errands 7. Final Verdict This scooter does exactly what I wanted it to do. It is affordable, portable, reliable, and easy to use. While there are more expensive scooters with more features, I honestly think this model hits the sweet spot for most people. For under $200, it is hard to find anything that offers this much utility and convenience. Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars ... show more

  • Works great with some minor caveats Works great with some minor caveats
Color: U5 PRO(350W 19Miles)
This is a nice affordable electric scooter. Functionally it works really well. There are three different speeds, up to about 19 MPH. Going faster of course effects the range. And going at the fastest speeds does seem to drain the battery quite a bit. That said the range seems very good and I never ran into an instance where the battery was going to die on my quickly, though I only cruise around fairly close to home. A few other things to note. The wheels are solid, not air filled. So you will feel big bumps and they recommend to bend your knees a little going over bumps. The folding mechanism works well, though it can be difficult to undo the latch to fold it up, as it's quite stiff so requires a bit of force. Another issue is the placement of the charger port is a bit inconvenient, as it's underneath the scooter, so you have to reach under or flip it on it's side to plug the charger in. Another thing that is a bit concerning, is the charger itself gets VERY hot. I checked the temps, and a hot spot next to the LED on the charger gets up to 159 degrees F. There is also no indication of how much charge the scooter has while charging, just a red or green light to show it's done. I'd like an easy way to see if it's mostly charged or not without having to turn it on. It seems there is an app available, but I don't necessarily want another app on my phone and another device that needs to communicate with it for limited functionality. The scooter also has a good build quality. With a lot of solid metal parts, nice rubber hand grips. And large solid feeling wheels. It feels durable when riding, and solidly built. Nothing feels like it will fall apart. The folding mechanism is very nice, and convenient for carrying and storage. Though it is quite heavy, so you wouldn't want to carry it long distances. The colors on it are fairly basic, black with some red highlights. But it looks good and more importantly functions well without issue. Overall I think you are getting a lot of scooter for the $189 cost at time of review. So as far as value, I think it's a great value for the money. Though I do have some safety concerns with how hard they are pushing the charger for the scooter and the high external temperatures when charging. ... show more

  • Really fun scooter!
Color: U5 PRO(350W 19Miles)
This thing is pretty awesome! I'll start by saying this is the only electric scooter I have ever ridden, so I don't have much frame of reference. I've also only had it a couple days, so I don't know how well it will hold up over time. It arrived packed in a box with good foam sport around it. It folds down for ready transportable and storage, and it arrived in folded condition with the handlebars unattached from the steering rack. It required four easily-installed screws to securely attach the handlebar, and the steering rack needed to be folded upright and locked into place. Assembly took less than 5 minutes. All needed parts are included. I plugged in the charger and charged it fully before using, but I suspect it arrived partially charged. The charger plugs into a little a adapter hole that is plugged with a small rubber boot. Simple enough to use. The scooter comes with an instruction manual full of very poorly translated English, though you should be able to make sense of most everything in it. The assembly pictures and descriptions aren't super, but it is so easy to assemble and fold up that it really shouldn't matter. What I didn't realize right away, and wish I had, was the QR code on the front of the manual takes you to a video of a native English speaker unboxing and assembling the scooter. So that should cover any poor translation or questions. There is done good precautionary safety information in the manual as well, such as not to have two people ride, not to accelerate downhill, and not to ride in wet conditions. There's an app, but I haven't tried to figure that out yet. It is not mentioned in the manual. I don't know what functionality, if any, is added by using it. I almost gave up on the scooter when I couldn't get it to accelerate. Thankfully the video I mentioned before cleared that up for me. You have to kick off with the scooter manually before it will let you use the electronic throttle. That's it, but I was not figuring it out. It's a safety feature to keep you from hitting the throttle when you do not mean to. My teenage kids and I have ridden this around a little up and down the street. We haven't tested the range or the battery life yet. But boy is it fun! We've gotten up to 18 mph by its built-in speedometer, and it is only a little bumpy on our relatively well maintained, paved road. It seems to have a "cruise control" that kicks in when you hold the accelerator down for several seconds, signaled by a long beep. This allows you to let go of the throttle and keep going. You can cancel it by hitting the accelerator again or hitting the brake. The brake light on the back fender blinks when the brake is engaged, and there is a headlight that can be turned off and on with a single short press of the power button. Two short presses switches "gears" to allow a higher or lower maximum speed, and three short presses switches between mph and kmph. Gripes and complaints... Not much so far, really. I wish the manual had made it clear that it won't "go" unless you get it rolling manually first. I thought I got a dud. The manual could be a lot more refined in general. Also, the tires are solid, not rubber over an inner tube. I guess this means when a tire wears out, the scooter is done. They feel substantial, but I still wish this was a serviceable part. Otherwise, so far, I haven't found anything not to like! I think this is a good deal at its current price of around $190. I expect to have a lot of fun with it and would recommend it to others. ... show more

  • Great entry level scooter. Kid loves it!
Color: U5 PRO(350W 19Miles)
This 350W electric scooter has been a great value for the price. I originally got it for my kid, who weighs around 110 lbs, but I’ve also taken it for plenty of rides myself at about 200 lbs. It handles both of us surprisingly well and has enough power for neighborhood rides, errands, and short commutes. The three riding modes are useful depending on what you’re doing. ECO mode is great for beginners, while the fastest Sport mode tops out around 19 MPH and feels pretty quick. Keep in mind that riding at maximum speed does reduce the range noticeably. In real-world use, I found the range to be closer to 14-15 miles, which is still plenty for most local trips. Setup was incredibly easy. It arrived well-packaged with plenty of protective foam, and assembly took less than five minutes. The handlebars attach with four screws, and everything needed is included in the box. It also folds down nicely, making it easy to store in a closet, trunk, or garage without taking up much space. A few things to be aware of: the solid tires mean there’s no risk of flats, but you’ll definitely feel larger bumps compared to air-filled tires. Bending your knees over rough pavement helps a lot. The folding mechanism is sturdy, although the latch can be a little stiff when folding it back up. The charging port placement underneath the deck is also a bit awkward, requiring you to reach underneath or tilt the scooter to plug it in. The charger itself gets fairly warm during charging, which is worth noting. Overall, it’s a dependable and affordable scooter that delivers solid performance, decent range, and convenient portability. For casual riders, teenagers, or anyone looking for a budget-friendly commuter scooter, it’s hard to complain about what you get for the price. ... show more

  • Good Entry-Level Scooter With Disc Brakes Good Entry-Level Scooter With Disc Brakes
Color: U5 PRO(350W 19Miles)
This e-scooter offers a lot of value for the price and includes features that are often missing from more budget-oriented models. The standout feature for me is the disc brake setup. Having disc brakes at this price point is a great addition, and braking performance is excellent. The scooter stops quickly and inspires confidence when riding in the streets. The deck has a good amount of grip, which helps keep your footing secure, and the handlebars provide plenty of traction as well. That said, while the grips are effective, I didn't find them especially comfortable on longer rides. The headlight is adequate for making you visible to others, but I wouldn't rely on it to illuminate a dark path ahead. It's more of a visibility light than a true riding light. I'd say it would be smart to get an additional light if you're going to rely on it to see. The folding mechanism is extremely tight when releasing it. While that can make folding a little more difficult, it also suggests a secure lockup when riding, which is probably a worthwhile tradeoff. The companion app covers the basics and provides the essential controls and information, but it feels somewhat limited. It works fine, though I'd like to see additional features and customization options that other very similar e-scooter apps have. Overall, this is a well-equipped scooter with strong braking performance, a stable riding platform, and good value for the money. Not super fast but has useable speed. A few comfort, software and speed limitations keep it from being perfect, but it's still an easy four-star product. ... show more

  • Disappointing Quality and Poor Ride for the Price
Color: U5 PRO(350W 19Miles)
I had high hopes for this scooter, but unfortunately it has been a disappointment. The biggest issue is the ride quality. With no real shock absorption, every bump and crack in the pavement is transmitted directly to the rider, making it much less comfortable than expected. The solid tires also leave black marks on floors and surfaces—even when simply rolling the scooter around without anyone riding it—which has been surprisingly frustrating. Assembly instructions were clear enough, and charging has worked without problems. However, the braking system doesn't feel as intuitive or responsive as it should, especially for a product marketed toward both teens and adults. While it technically functions, the overall experience feels far below what I'd expect at this price point. There are better options available that offer a smoother ride, better components, and more value for the money. I would not purchase this scooter again. ... show more

  • Looks nice but unable to ride it.
Color: U5 PRO(350W 19Miles)
Ok. The build quality seems decent base on the price point. I would say this is still an entry level scooter with a few extra features over some of the cheaper ones available. It seems like it could be a good scooter. Not too heavy but stable. Now why did I say it seems like...well for some reason when the scooter arrived, the box was ripped. Upon opening it the scooter was in good condition but there was no hardware or charging cable. So since the scooter handle needs to be screwed in, I couldn't ride it without the missing screws in a safe manner. Since the charger is missing I cant verify it either. I did attempt to ride it in my living room with a loose handle and the back tire seems like the brake is too tight. The motor wheel does not move without force. I think this is one that missed the quality control department. Based on my receiving of this product unfortunately I cant recommend due to safety and the possibility of having a scooter that I could not test due to missing and possibility defective parts. ... show more

  • Works well, easy to assemble
Color: U5 PRO(350W 19Miles)
I got this because it was a decently priced electric scooter and I've always wanted one. It comes basically assembled except for attaching one cable and the handle bar. This process is incredibly simple and then the scooter is ready to go. Its got 3 modes that you can switch between which determine how fast it can go and how long the battery lasts for. I was a little confused at first because every other electric scooter I've tried, when you engage the toggle for it to go, it just goes. This one that doesnt occur. You have to start rolling, then engage and the scooter takes off. If you roll too slowly or come to a stop, you need to push off again for the toggle to engage again. I checked the manual to see if this was normal, but I couldn't find anything. It had a little light on the front which you can toggle off and on and if youre used to scooters, its relatively easy to control. It is heavy, and pretty heavy duty. You can fold the handle down and lock it into place for easy storage. I also cant tell if the wheels are inflatable, because I dont see anywhere to inflate them. I think they are some sort of faux rubber/plastic similar to those kids 4 wheeler type cars. Overall I'm satisfied with it, and think its a lot of fun. ... show more
