It's perfect. Except for the microsoft office 365 program I purchased with the computer. Excel does not work. When I click on my excel app It gives me a message saying not compatible, check with software publisher. I bought this computer because I am in business, and I desperately need a computer with a fully working excel program. I have bought Microsoft office 365,and I can't use it for what I need. I'm just really hoping there is a fix. I don't know what I'm going to do about my paperwork. ... show more

I actually ordered this one for a student of mine. She won a micro grant for $600.00. the laptop came as promised, it was easy to set up. The touchscreen works great. The computer is definitely fast enough to use for her college classes.

Love the touch screen. The SOLID state Drive is also great. The one thing I don't like is the way you open it. The little tab in front is fixed to the top half and the hinge springs are tight. Need something on bottom to hold it down while you pull up on top half. Other than that, great Laptop.

    • Worst computer purchase I have ever made
This computer is not worth the hype. I ordered this laptop because I wanted to "upgrade" from my hp all-in-one desktop. BIG MISTAKE! Because I work from home, I have a lot of devices that I needed to attach to this computer. It only comes with 2 standard USB ports, 1 HDMI port, and 1 USB c port. I knew this when I made the purchase but I also have several USB and HDMI port adapters that work just fine with my all-in-one. The laptop would not/could not initially read all of my devices. I had to restart multiple times before the devices were finally able to work. This took two days of trying. Then the computer started freezing while streaming videos, then randomly restarting. I reached out to hp support who were no help whatsoever. I finally decided this purchase was not worth the headache and initiated a return. I purchased a second one(before knowing of all the issues) as a gift and I can only hope they don't have the same issues or any that I had. Edit: 09/01/2021 Well, the 2nd laptop(the one purchased as a gift) has conked out. It was taken to Best Buy where my niece was informed that the hard drive was not compatible with the laptop. At the time I made the purchase the description did not state this laptop was upgraded by the seller. They have since added this info, I'm assuming because of the bad reviews. We reached out to hp after getting the run-a-round from Amazon only to be told the one year warranty we were told we had was void since the seller had chosen to upgrade the computer. Amazon initially told us they would refund our money since we now have to come out of pocket to fix the computer, which is NOT a 2020 model by the way. Amazon then recanted and stated we had 30 days to return the computer from the time of purchase. IF the computer had shown signs of being defective like the one I purchased for myself, it would have been sent back. Yet again I'm forced to contact my bank with copies of the chats from Amazon to get my money back. Amazon has no sense of decency at all. They lie and hope you don't have the proof to call them on their lies and bull. ... show more

    • Bad upgrades!
HP is fine, but this 3rd party seller customizes them with more RAM and hard drive space which is great in theory. However, they use cheap replacement\upgrade parts. I've had nothing but problems with the laptop. It crashes all the time and the system says there's no storage drive present. I've reinstalled Windows from scratch and that only helped for a week or two. Some programs are very laggy reading from the drive while the same program works faster on a much older laptop and desktop. I'm going to have to replace the SSD with a brand that doesn't suck. Edit: After replacing the SSD and RAM, the laptop works flawlessly. No more BSOD. I wish I had bought a baseline model direct from HP and upgraded it myself- it would have been cheaper, better, and less frustrating. Do NOT buy anything from this 3rd party seller!! ... show more
