The laptop was initially much slower than I would have expected for a new Dell. Six weeks after I started to use it, the internet lost connection, whereas my other internet/WiFi based devices did not. It also made a crunch noise when I moved the screen. The right side of the frame around the screen had come loose from the frame. It had three little buttons that fit into three holes in the screen. Ultimately, I pressed the frame buttons into their screen holes, but the fix wouldn't hold. The photo shows that I've attached a clip to the screen and frame to hold them together. I can't neither adjust the screen nor close it. I haven't had much success in reaching the sellers. I am .not pleased AT ALL ... show more

    • Hinges cracked when opening lid
Bought this laptop in April 2022 from Amazon (PCOnline US). After 9 months of using it, yesterday I tried to open the lid but the left hinge got caught in the case (obviously an engineering defect) and broke. I cannot open the lid now without breaking the screen. PCOnline US tells me to contact Dell. Dell says this is no longer in warranty because Dell shipped the laptop to PCOnline US in January 2022 (so the 1 year warranty is expired, even though i bought the laptop in April 2022 and we're now in Feb 2023). If Dell comes through and honors the warranty I'll be sure to update the rating... ... show more

I ordered this dell Inspiron 15 to replace the one i had , was described with HD screen , hooked it up and the screen quality was poor It looked as if it had some film cover over the screen Was also very bright I have a dell inspiron and the HD is far superior to the dell i just received I return it asap ! ... show more
