16 bottles can only be achieved if you place the last bottle against the back cooling wall in contradiction of the manual. Only 8 are easily accessible unless 11 are stored upright leaving 4 horizontal at the top. It's a misleading capacity which is disappointing for an otherwise appealing cooler. First off, there is a condenser inside on the bottom so it takes a lot of the space. There is no way you can fit the amount of wine bottles as described however, I have had other wine fridges and this one has kept the temperature the most accurate. I really like the standing options and I've kept other liquors in here as well. It is pretty noisy, strange wheezing and clicking, I've gotten used to it now though. It's a good value overall.
