The button needed to be pushed hard to open the umbrella, and even harder to close it. I had the umbrella for several months, but I used it maybe four times, the most. A few days ago, I could not open it. After several attempts, I was able to open it, but later there was a struggle to close it. When I managed to push the button to close the umbrella, I could not fold it; the umbrella was not locking and kept opening. The whole mechanism is broken. The Amazon support did not offer much help; First, I received a wrong telephone number to the manufacturer. Later, when I asked about a replacement or refund, I was told there will be a restocking fee and I need to return the umbrella. How to return an open umbrella......?

It is a bit hard to pull closed. even after using the button to close the upper part of the umbrella.

The reinforced frame and material can likely stand up to some heavy winds, although I wonder if the wind's blowing that hard, that the sideways rain effect wouldn't negate keeping you dry. The open-and-close mechanism is rather stiff, and using the pushbutton is a struggle for my thumbs, even though I'm a strong older male. Not really a good value, if all you're looking for is a standard foul weather accessory.
