Overall this shoe is better than steel toe as the alloy is much lighter, which makes a huge difference in wearing for 6+ hours. I like the style it’s very easy to clean just a quick wipe down with a rag. I wear a size 13 and I ordered a size 13 but I really feel that the shoe runs at least 1/2 size to almost 1 size larger than it says. I’m disappointed in the insoles which were very poor quality in part of new balance. My feet hurt after wearing for only a few minutes after I broke them in; and have been hurting for a few days. I’ve replaced the insoles with Dr Sholls gel work insoles which should help. The laces are strong and have very little give which keeps them tight all day of wearing them, they haven’t even begun to show any signs of fraying after 2 months even getting snagged on pallets and other objects. Pros: -Laces are strong and durable -Easy to clean -Strong and light alloy toe no damage on impacts -Plenty of room on sides of foot no tightness to hinder movement Cons: -Insole is very cheap for an expensive shoe and hurts after frequent wear (replace with a quality one) -Shoe size runs slightly larger than advertised at least in my case

It arrived earlier than expected and appear to be very well made. They are much lighter than a steel toe which I like very much. I'm actually thing about buying a second pair for work if these prove to last a while.

I like everything about these shoes. I have trouble finding mountain bike shoes with a hard toe that are wide in size. I wear New Balance shoes regularly, so I knew they would fit. So far I am very happy with the, I didn't know they would be blue (dark blue) from the photo I thought they would be black. I will learn to live with it. ;)

This is the third time I have purchased this exact shoe. The hard toe is awesome and they look great but the most important thing is that, since wearing this shoe, my plantar fasciitis is gone. It is life changing not to have foot pain when you are on your feet all day like I am. I hope they keep making this shoe because I will buy a new pair every year until they stop. BTW - I wear them everyday, take lots of steps, and they last all year. Did I mention that I love them...of course I do.

I bought these as my running shoes fit, made by New Balance, is just right for my feet and they are very comfy for running or other sports. So I figured these should be good. They are very, very comfy to wear all day on a concrete plant floor, way more than I expected, so that is a plus. Lightweight, much lighter than the standard issue shoes or boots, which is also a plus. Soles are grippy, which is good. Seems to be mildly chemical resistant - hydraulic oil, coolant, minor chemicals. However, the issue for me is how the soft layer starts to tear away from the sole. I have found that the corners of the sole in the grooves to allow it to flex, have started to separate from the soft layer because the foam is tearing. Not good for longevity. I have currently tried to fix this with some dabs of E6000 adhesive and I will see how it holds up, but this is a concern for me. Everything else has endured daily wear, around manufacturing plants, through many airports and they still look good considering how much I wear them. Just this tearing, which is not through abuse, I am pretty careful, it is a design flaw where these corners can catch and drag on any edges on a floor. Overall I am very happy with them and will wear them until they fail.

I have a wide foot so I got size 11 wide when I first tried on the shoe it was to lose but I seen that it has the extra hole ontop of the shoe for the shoe lace but after doing that my shoelace feels to short when I try tie my shoe but other than that my feet feel comfortable walking around a 8hr shift. It’s not the prettiest shoe but better than others
