THREE WAYS TO UNPAIR YOUR APPLE TV 1) IF YOU HAVE AN ORIGINAL REMOTE: With your original remote (aluminum or white), and follow the steps below: Access the main menu of your Apple TV. Choose Settings> General> Remotes, then choose Unpair Apple Remote. Pair A After successfully unpairing a device, you should see a broken chain link icon above an icon of an unRa remote on your Apple TV 2) IF YOU LOSE THE ORIGINAL REMOTE: use the remote application to unpair your Apple TV and follow the steps below: Prepare an IOS device> Install the free application remotely on the IOS device from the App Store> Tap Ado Apple TV to pair the app with your Apple TV> Then use the Remote app to unpair Apple Remote. (please refer to 1)) Note If you don't see the Add Apple TV button, please make sure your Apple TV and iOS devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and are running the latest version of their software respective. Also check if Home Sharing is enabled in iTunes. Unlike the real Apple remote this thing is as light as a feather. It also takes some weird watch type battery that isn't included. I couldn't be bothered trying to figure it out. I'm returning it and buying a real one from the apple store.

It will work for one or two days with no issues.. then you can’t change the volume, play or pause or even turn off the tv. Smacking it and leaving it for a minute usually stops it.. but this is a cheap imitation of an Apple Remote and just makes me want to actually buy one.

For as long as I’ve had the original Apple remote for the 4th generation HD Apple TV I’ve hated the swipe on the remote and this was a perfect replacement. It paired to the AppleTV easily. I did have a little trouble getting it to pair with the Sonos soundbar, but a little googling for some instructions for other remotes was all it took. ... show more

This remote is a piece of junk, never worked. Put the battery in, no lights no nothing. Unfortunately I didn’t try it out till after the return window closed. It could be fraudulent honestly it feels like it’s made of cardboard.
