This is exactly as advertised. A brand new alternator for my son's project car out back. He kinda scoffed at it when he opened it for Christmas last year, but a a few months later he dropped it in and loved it. The old one was fine, but damn old. This one was brand new and inexpensive.

Everything as far fitment goes is fine. Bolts up plug goes in correctly, but the alternator itself is complete garbage! It's a unit that is supposed to be tested as it should not fail for the user that purchases it! Well the one I received failed first day left me stranded it only has 10 miles on it and never worked because i was just driving off of battery until that got depleted. How are you people gonna send alternators out that do not work what so ever from the point of a person even using it the first time. Are you going to pay my towing bill you cost me because you obviously do not do quality checks on these units! I sense a LAWSUIT in your future and consumer affairs to deal with. Amazon should not even have this company as a seller/supplier to go wreck their reputation because of ! ZERO STARS ! ... show more

My old alternator was working fine but over 27 years old. I installed the new alternator and heard an unusual whining sound. I was about to blame the new alternator, but I elected to install a new battery. The whining went away, fortunately. The battery was old (3+yrs) and the vehicle is not used very much. read the reviews this only puts out 13.2-13.4 most of the time. will fall below 13v with everything on and running. just another inferior product with a 30 day warranty. no country of origin on product or box which lets you know its probably from china. amazon has removed country of origin from most products because they know we dont want this trash from china. so i have to buy another alternator and another 3 hours labor to install it. ... show more
