We ordered these crates to double as a sofa table. We had looked at many different ones, but I like these are not press wood. The ecoflex system looks to be very durable and will be easy to clean. They are very sturdy and the extra large fits my German shepherd and black lab very nicely. They were packaged very secure (if you are opposed to Styrofoam you won't like the packaging.) I appreciated the care They used to make sure it was safe during transport. They took 5 minutes to unpacked ans about 5 minutes to put together. Over all very very pleased. ... show more

Easyish to build. I normally wait for my husband to assemble things for me but I gave it a try. The delivery was awesome. I live on the second floor so I was already expecting to find it on the bottom of the stairs and very much banged up, since I saw that it said it weighed 65lbs. But I found it right infront of my door box still intact to damages to it, which was a really great and nice surprise. Everything was nicely packed and protected. A very snug fit inside the box with multiple layers of protection in between. The only little defects I found were a few scratches on the panel that goes on the bottom so no biggy for me since no one is going to see it(and I won’t either). It was nice when I released I wouldn’t be needing any tools to put it together. It comes with some plastic screws, which did through me off. And didn’t seem too sturdy as I was putting it together which made me worry a bit at first. And to bottom panel didn’t seam to be the right fit ( but no issue so far with that). The top is about the only thing I really struggled with. I read a few reviews about bad alignment. But i just had to really make sure both stick things in the middle were in the right place at the same time before I tried to put the screw things on and before I worried about alignment issues. Eventually it all came together. Once you get the top on it really gets more sturdier. Only took me about an hour or so.. 1.5at most. Her bed is 3ft by 2ft. If you see in the pics it doesn’t quite fit with wise but we just shoved it in there so it works for now . Took a while for my dog to get use to it but after a few hours it seams like she can stay in and nap.. we literally just got it this morning so I have to wait and see how she really likes it (if she can stay the night) and how well it’ll work for her as she grows but I’m hoping this is our last and final crate/ bed for her. Long story short it was an easy build with a small struggle at the end. I love how the finished product looks. Price was great compared to other places I was looking at. I thought I might of over did the size (xl)but I know my husky will grow into it since it doesn’t seam to huge on the inside. Just have to find the perfect spot for it in my apartment. Will update review with Metztli’s final thoughts (my husky). ... show more

Looks fantastic and modern! Get only if your pet is crate trained and not one that likes to chew or break out of the crate. Yes It's a plastic material but pretty sturdy for our crate trained pup and a heavy chewer will break out of this. I am not one that likes to assemble furniture but this is very easy, detailed instructions and can be assembled by one person . It took me about 5 minutes with very little effort . It comes with all the tools you need to assemble. Took off a point because the door had some damage but does not affect it's function. Regardless it's a good crate and just ordered the smaller one for our new pup that just graduated from crate training from the traditional wire crate. She already tries to hang in there with our corgi boy<3 ... show more

Material feels like the plastic fencing material. My dog is fairly light and the bottom "removable tray" is kind of flimsy. Also it is not easily removable. You will have to unscrew the the top and remove it to access the tray. The tray is also not dished with side so if you have a fear of an accident in the crate it will leak out the bottom. The door has no stopper so when you close the door it goes inside the crate. So you have to hold the in position to latch it shut. Other than my issues with the tray and the door the crate looks better than a metal wire crate. But lacks some of the functionality of the ugly wire crates. ... show more

This was soo easy to assemble, I did it alone and I bought the xl one (42 inches) I am also a small female about 5’5. It’s very lightweight, now my only complaint is the recycled wood or whatever it’s made out of is kinda loose and airy..hard to explain other than it’s not solid wood. But once put together it’s very sturdy. By the way it’s also huge! I mean it’s huge, you could fit 2 full grown adult dogs in this unless they are both xl breeds. We have one adult pit medium about 50 lbs and a 7 month old mixed with Rhodesian ridgeback she’s very tall and slender which is why we went with the larger cage and they could both sleep in it no problem. It’s def not chew proof, would not buy unless you are using just for sleeping or your dog is already crate trained. I also bought a 42 inch bed for inside and it fit perfectly! I will most likely buy a smaller one soon for our older pit! I also did a lot of research and searching and price comparing and this won, really can’t beat the prices of these for the size and what it is and Amazon def had it cheaper than many other companies! ... show more
