Description

The Mojave Reptile Lounge features front sliding, glass doors for easy access and cleaning, a large, mesh screen top to accommodate most UV and heat lamp set-ups and vented side panels for optimal ventilation. This reptile lounge habitat unit is made with ECOFLEX, a proprietary composite blend of recycled polymers and reclaimed wood fiber by products that make up a durable and moisture resistant material. ECOFLEX is easy to clean and does not retain odor. This unit is not watertight and should not be used for animals that need to have standing water in their enclosures. The top of the unit is wire mesh and intended to support heat and UV lamps. Customers can place heat/UV lamps on the wire portion of the top of the unit. Heat lamps SHOULD NOT touch the ECOFLEX material please refer to assembly instructions. Great for indoor or outdoor use. A habitat made for tortoises, arachnids, scorpions, hermit crabs, hamsters, guinea pigs, small rabbits. This was very easy to assemble and not terribly heavy to move where I needed it. I run a bioactive enclosure so I needed to silicone the edges where ever there was going to be substrate to prevent leaking. So I sealed about 4 in up just to be safe. It seems to keep humidity ok not fantastic but if you have a misting system or most regularly you shouldn't have to much problem. The one big flaw of the whole build is there is no cord ports anywhere. You'll need to drill one and get a port on your own. The top mesh seems kind of sturdy. It survived my 18lbs cat hopping on it while I put it together but I wouldn't place anything too heavy on top. I got this for my ball python as she has outgrown her juvenile tank. I just have a basic set up inside it for now and will add later. This is also a very pretty tank and blends in to other furniture and I like that the company has extenders to expand if I want. I ordered this enclosure for my reptile and it has been amazing. It’s very spacious and gives plenty of room for decorating, hides, and climbing. The material feels strong and durable and the design holds heat and humidity much better than a glass tank. Assembly was simple and it looks really clean and modern in the room. I needed new enclosures for my ball pythons after my cat managed to punch through the screen top of the glass exo-t enclosure. The EcoFlex enclosures turned out to be a surprisingly inexpensive well built option. They are very easy to assemble and being plastic are impervious to water, but care must be taken to not over-tighten the screws as you can snap the threads out of the mounting holes. As with all PVC enclosures, you do need to run a bead of silicone around the seams to make them leak proof. They are light weight and extremely easy to clean/sanitize. The screen top is well secured and can support a 14 lbs. Ragdoll cat with minimal bowing but best to keep your kitties off it if possible because the mesh is only secured with a handful of small staples. When the glass door lock is in place there is no way for your pets to escape. Heating them enclosure is easy with a 50-80W deep heat projector and lighting with those smaller aquarium LED from that NICE company. This combo easily maintains temps and supports live tropical plants. They are very sturdy when not stacked but the tops will bow when using the riser designed for them. New Age Pet should re-design the riser to fit around the outside edge of these enclosures so the weight is on the walls/corners and not in the center of the top. Because these have a large open screen top on them humidity management can be a challenge. I resorted to using clear vinyl and sealing off 2/3 of the screen to keep the humidity at around 60%. Overall these are well worth the money and will last years but need a better riser if you plan to stack them. That's the only reason I gave 4/5 stars on the enclosure because it should be able to handle the weight of a seconds one with how they designed it. ... show more

I bought this enclosure as an upgrade for my trio of cordylus tropidosternum. They're a social species before anyone freaks out about cohabitation, and they will get depressed without others. The enclosure was incredibly simple to put together and the pieces fit together seamlessly. My enclosures is bioactive so I had to seal the seams. I chose to use clear weather resistant, waterproof tape instead of silicone. I wiped and cleaned all the surfaces to ensure maximum sealing. Worked like a charm!
