These work just as needed and expected. I have used them on rugs that we just recently purchased as well as rugs we have had for a while that are starting to curl on the corners. These work in both situations but they do work very well before the corners even start to curl. They really reinforce the corners with their V design and are super simple to attach to the run. They do not stick to the floors which is exactly what I wanted and have a thin foam padding on them to prevent any damage to the floor. I have a thinner area rug that the some of the corners have turned up, due to rumba and traffic. A friend showed these to me and I ordered them. They are exactly what I needed. The rugs look nice with the corners where they need to be and they were easy to apply. I highly recommend them.
