The last tent i owned came with a bunch of poles and strings and was always a bit of a headache to put up and have it stay up….. this Golabs camping tent is a complete game changer. You take it out of the carrying bag and just pop it up. Done. And it stays out. It is sturdy and doesn’t wobble. Good bye to the days where you accidentally bump into a pole and the whole things collapses on you. I also love that this tents comes with an extra canopy you can set up so on a rainy day you don’t come out of your tent in the morning getting hit by rain. Since I haven’t tested it in rain yet, I am not able to opine whether it is truly waterproof but looking at the materials and stitching I am very confident. When I ordered this I was not quite certain about the actual size. The instructions and product listing are written differently so overall this came out to align more with the product listing (floor space 74x74. My husband is 5 ft 10 and he can lay in it without stretching out too much. So for three adults this would be a bit too small and cramped. But two adults and a child or in our case two adults and a Corgi work well. This is probably not the tent I would use on a two week trip but for an extended weekend it’s perfect. A few things to note that are not dealbreakers for me personally. The tent is not a backpacking type tent. It is heavy to carry around, but for our camping purposes it works and I equate heavy with added stability. Also, you do have a wiggle it around a bit to fit it back into the carrying bag. So while it’s is easy to set up and take down there is a bit of a puzzle factor to tuck it back into the bag nice and neat. ... show more

This is a pretty nice tent but it does have a few cons, which I'll get into. I had the tent for a few weeks before my camping trip and at my camping trip, my wife and I slept in this tent. My 3 kids slept in a 4 person coleman tent. Weight-wise, this tent is heavier than the coleman but the bags are about the same size. Setup was way, way, way faster. You pretty much take the tent out, spread it out and the main tent is done. Even with the rain fly and canopy set up, it was a lot faster than the coleman. The canopy is nice but since we're camping, we didn't use it much. The tent has a lot of ventilation. Every side can be ventilated and the top is ventilated also. We had no issue with condensation, even with the rain fly on. It also has 2 doors on opposing sides. Everything feels high quality and sturdy. The tent is a true 3 person tent. With my wife and I with our bags, we actually didn't have room for a 3rd person but if we didn't have our bags in the tent, we could fit a third person in here. Also, if you're a tall person, you might not fit well in the tent. I'm 5'9" and it was ok for me but it did feel smaller than the coleman. The only real downside I had with the tent is putting it away. It took a long time fighting the bag. Also, the outer most legs need to be pulled and then folded. I didn't know that initially... luckily I didn't try to force it to fold. Anyhow, that bag is too small and you really have to fight it to get everything to zip up in there. Sooo, I have mixed feelings about this tent. The concept is great. It pops up great and it's not too heavy. The price is good for an instant tent. With that said, it's just a little small in the floor dimensions! I'm 5'8" and as you can see from the picture, my head is against one side and my toes are the other side. The reason this isn't good is because most inflatable sleeping pads are at least 6', often measuring at 74-76" in length, which is going to push the walls out, stretching the tent. Secondly, the bottoms of the window covers do not attach with Velcro or anything, only zipper down the sides, so this could be a problem. As far as an outdoor/beach shelter, I think this would be great! There is reflective silver on the inside of the fabric, which will help reflect radiated heat (feeling heat inside from the dark fabric on the outside). I really like the super large front porch awning, and how you connect it to another identical tent if you wanted. As far as being waterproof, I was unable to test this, but I didn't see any light coming through the stitching, and you could seam seal them if you wanted to be extra sure. I will tell you that if you try to leave the tent during rain, or while there is water on the tent, you WILL get water dripping in the tent, just due to the dome shape, as the top of the door overhangs the tent bottom when open. The instant-up up pole structure is very sturdy. Just staking down the 4 corners was really all you need unless you want to use the awning. The tent itself will be very wind resistant. The awning will be not be. Even guyed out with heavy duty stakes, there is just too much fabric in the air acting like a sail. To setup, you just stand up the folded tent, fold down each corner to the ground, then pull up the center. Everything kind of opens like an umbrella from that point. So that part is very easy. As far as the awning goes, you will definitely need two people. One to hold a pole up, the second person to guy it out. By the way, the poles are pretty durable but not lightweight. Each section completely separates but has a other metal clip that keeps them from easily falling out once fitted together. In summary, I think it's a great casual use tent for beaches, picnics, and light camping use. Currently priced at $113, I think it's a great value. Just know that it will be kind of cramped for sleeping in, especially if you are taller than 5'8. ... show more
