First I gave 3 stars on tech support only because I needed none. Wish this was not part of the rating I have an ORBI mesh system I purchased in 2018 ish... my base station is a RBR40. I have about a 3000 sq foot house with a fairly large foot print as all in the main floor I also have an out building that is about 50 feet from my house where I have my office. Although I had a regular ORBI satellite inside the outbuilding but my signal varied. I experimented with putting the satellite outside and my signal improved greatly. However, this was not made for the outdoors. Thus I purchased this outdoor satelite. Installation instructions were easy to follow.. only took about 15 minutes to connect to my system. I choose to mount it on an outside wall on my outbuilding.. signal is very strong, speed is great. The mounting screws and hardware are good. The lock piece is a nice touch. This unit really solved my issues. Note: Orbi's are supposed to "daisy chain", however this unit would only connect to the base station. If you log into the admin web based network access the default feature (advanced, network set up) is to have the daisy chain feature on. In my case it was. I turned the feature off. The system rebooted. Then I turned the feature back on and the base station rebooted again. Now this new outdoor satellite is daisy chained to the closest indoor satellite. So all is well. This feature is very valuable as my base station cannot be moved and is at the other end of the house. problem solved ... show more

Easy to follow instructions for quick painless setup. The only thing that was disappointing was that the stand does not lock into the unit and is easy to slip out. I resolved this issue with zip ties to ensure the unit will not fall over in its side. Otherwise, a truly beneficial solution to extend WiFi to my outdoor space. ... show more

Though it gave me some headaches setting up and getting in to proper mode, more due to some of my own mistakes lol. I’m happy so far with the speed and expanded property I can now have great wifi coverage.
