this deserves no star at all I have set up several cameras at various properties and also travel with one. I know what I am doing.l Read the reviews, You cannot create an account with the app and cannot set up the camera without it. ....and every review that asks for help has the same problem Too bad might be a decent camera. Anddddddd you may have problems returning it. FYI If you sign in with google it will require you to agree to share info Really????? ... show more

    • TERRIBLE AMAZON SUPPORT!!!
I bought this Nest Camera back in May. I didn't realize it was BUNDLED with two plug-ins. I didn't NEED any plugins, but I DID need the camera, so I held onto the plugs until I needed them. I decided to use one of the plug-ins with my Christmas tree today (Nov 21, 2021). BUT there is NO MANUFACTURER listed on the plug-ins...There is no way to sync them with Alexa or any other app I've tried. AND I just spent TWO HOURS and 15 minutes between the Amazon Assistant, then a Chat assistant, then a LIVE person with Amazon, then a live person at Google Nest ("we don't have any smart plug-ins...we just do the camera..." And then another live person...who said "you'll need to take down the camera and return it with the plugs..." When I told her I could NOT take down the camera (that's why I bought it...I need to use it!) she offered to give me 15% off a new purchase of plug-ins. You have GOT to be kidding me!! Luckily, Rachel (one of the live Amazon reps I spoke with) called me back to make sure everything had been taken care of. When I told her what I had been through for the past two hours she was sincerely kind and apologetic. She even had a very thoughtful solution: extended me a courtesy credit, that covered the cost of two Amazon plug-ins (not some "made in China with no manufacturer on it" plug-in). I ordered them while she was still on the phone and I REALLY appreciated her help!! I'm only sorry it took so long and so much frustration to arrive at a workable solution. THANK YOU, RACHEL!!! You deserve a raise!! Amazon, you should be careful about "bundling" garbage plug-ins with a great product like the Nest Camera!!! ... show more
