I normally don’t do a reviews but this tent earned one. Great quality material and carry/storage bag is heavier material than you see in any tent or chair bags. It also packs very compact 1/4 size of an umbrella. Such easy setup and amazing shade for the beach. First use was in high winds and the tent held up great. It flopped some but never moved. The key is to fill the sand bags as much as possible and stretch the fabric in a X shape fully. Then add your poles accordingly. You can do some things to help shade according to sun. Move a pole in more to create more of a side flap help block sun from side. I recommend buying the two extra poles easy to have if you need make tent higher around back or sides. All four poles fit easily in storage bag. Taking it down is as easy as setup. 9’ X 9’ seems be a great all around size and can move your poles in more to accommodate size restriction beaches. Best beach or tent item I have ever bought. Will use it with anchors off the beach when shade is needed. ... show more

This (medium size rainbow strip) is the second tent I have purchased. The first one I purchased was the smallest tent in the whale print and I also got the matching chairs. It has been used every weekend for the past 3 months. The bag has not held up and one of the snaps on one chair has broken. No one has gotten burnt under the whale print tent. We were needing more room so I purchased this tent. You will not get the sun protection from this light colored tent you will from the darker print. Several people have gotten burnt while sitting under this one. I wish I would have stayed with a darker print. I still love that this is very light weight to carry and is Super easy to put up and take down.Be mindful of what color you buy. ... show more

We got this tent to use on our yearly trip to the beach. The first 3 days the winds were 10 or more mph. I still tried it though as there were other cabana type shelters up and similar tents to this with 4 poles. But it was a no go. I was so disappointed I had even packed it up to return when I got back home. But the next day the wind was light, 5-10 mph. So I tried it. It was so easy this time. I was not fighting the wind. I bought the Grande. Considered purchasing the popular Shibumi Shade, but opted out because of the comments about noise from the flapping material. Grande is easy to setup, but ya gotta set the tension between sandbags as recommended or it won't stand until you do. The Grande is big enough for two to stay well-shaded. The 9x9 shaded area is great. SPF is rated at 50, and happy to report that it did prevent me from getting sunburned when I tested it without using any sun lotion. It also withstood winds at a steady 15-20 mph on the NW FL gulf coast...it stayed up, and the shaded area underneath didn't wander in the wind. Didn't have to move it when the wind shifted a little. The "Cooler Pocket" they advertise is on the carry bag. The carry bag is a good, rugged bag...Cooler Pocket doesn't do much good for me on the bag, but that's where it is. Overall, happy with it...beats the (solar) umbrella I typically use which never really protected me from the sun much at all. ... show more

We were skeptical about this thing at first. Would it be easy to assemble? Would it stay up? How durable is it? First off, ditch your tiny umbrella. This thing gave a crazy amount of shade. It went up in about 5 minutes. It handled moderate winds no problem. We noticed that we like it better than those tent setups since it actually lets wind pass underneath and through it. Although it’s a tad pricey, it was easily the coolest looking shade provider at the beach. Packed up in minutes also and is stored in an easy to carry bag. 5/5 for an AMAZING product. ... show more

My son bought one like this for his family. It is so light weight and so easy to put up that I can even do it myself and I am 69 years old and only way 105 pounds. I used it for the first time today at the beach and it worked out great. I will buy two more poles to use with it, it only comes with two. Check the directions and overfill the bags with sand. ... show more

LOVE this so much! It’s so easy to carry out to the beach—not awkward like beach umbrellas or gazebo/tents. We bought the extra two poles so we’d have four all together, and we’re so glad we did. The structure is much sturdier with four poles, and you can fit more people under it. It’s super easy to set up and take down, but you have to get the tension right. Definitely need to follow the instructions and stretch the anchor bags as far apart as possible before filling them with sand. Went to the beach with this thing brand new never having set it up. Had windy days and it actually never fell or failed. Provided great shade for 8-10 adults - I did buy the two extra poles to have 4 so it would be nice if it just came with 4 so you don’t feel nickel and dimed. Just stuff the bags by hand with sand and don’t be lazy make sure the bags are full then cover the bags in sand. We never had any issues with bag drag or flopping like you see in some videos. Just make the canopy tight on beach before raising. Thing is legit and easy to break down in minutes. ... show more
