The Dr.Care NeoView Video Baby Monitor is a fabulous product! I had actually purchased the monitor to use as a security camera facing out my front window. I have had a baby monitor for years - but it requires internet connection. My cellphone battery suffers dramatically. I thought I'd try a monitor which didn't require the Internet. The ONLY concern I had with Dr.Care was the built-in night vision. When the night vision is activated, all I see is a reflection of the dark window. My previous camera gave me the capability to turn off night vision. The Dr.Care cameras and monitor are beyond phenomenal! I tried everything to make it work because I really loved the product. i had the monitor on for four hours straight one afternoon waiting to catch the UPS man to refuse a delivery. I have two cameras. One Dr. Care and another brand. The other brand was cheaper and wayyy better. Dr. Care camera won’t stay connected to the monitor for more than 10 seconds. The monitor is small and extremely bright on the lowest setting. Also, another thing I noticed that my other monitor does better is pick up my babies cries over the sound machine. Dr. Care camera will pick up the sound machine sound rather than my baby crying. Do not waste your money like I did… I got this camera for traveling reasons bc it’s smaller, but it’s not worth it. ... show more

As others have mentioned, the picture quality is great and crystal clear (as long as you face it straight on). However, the 3.5" screen was too small fo my liking, so even though you can see things clearly, it's too small to see the details of a face. Also, the swivel is manual so that makes this harder to maneuver if your child is moving around and you don't want to go in their room to bother them. I got this baby monitor for traveling because our main monitor requires WiFi in order to work - which can be challenging while traveling. This one does not. Instead, it is fast to set up and works right out of the box. I am quite impressed with all the features it has at this price point: baby bottle alarms, lullabies and nature sounds, two-way audio, it shows the temperature, and more. This is one of the few affordably priced baby cameras that had an SD card. I'm using it as a cheap security camera option and the signal is good through the brick exterior of the house. My only complaint is that the SD card slot is in the camera itself and not the monitor. And there is no way to access stored video from the monitor.
