This meter is perfect for home and in my toolbox. It seems well constructed and comes with separate leads fitted with alligator clips for testing your work safely. The carrying case is durable and fits everything included quite well.

UPDATED 07/28/2022 ======================= I should have contacted Customer service before I wrote my review. The offered to replace my defective unit. I provided my address and I received the new multimeter within 2 days. Works great. Things go bad but it's nice to know that there is a legit customer service standing behind their products, which is hard to find these days. bumping back to 4 stars. ========================= I was very satisfied with this product until I started to use the other more less common functions. What makes this bad is that the OHMs function was working as expected, but then I tried to test some capacitors and oddly enough all of my capacitors (even new ones) showed 0. Thinking I had a bad tester, I tested voltage and Amps and both were incorrect. I validated with another meter and clearly the NEOTECK was broken, despite a full new battery, only after 2 years. ... show more

For the price this is a great multimeter. Has all the functions you could want unless you're using it more electronics or high voltage purposes. Appears to be quite accurate, from what I can tell. The continuity buzzer is very responsive, though could be slightly faster - equivalent to a $100 meter a few years ago. The autorange is quite fast, no complaints there. The 2000 count doesn't give you much precision, but for more casual usage, shouldn't really matter. From what I can tell, the frequency counter is only in the kHz range but the other functions are more varied (micro Amps - Amps is very nice). This meter is pretty small, which I like a lot, similar to a fluke 100 series in form, though lighter - still has a solid weight and feels pretty rugged, however. The LCD screen cover is a very soft/thin plastic that is easily deformed that is a little disappointing as I already killed a few pixels trying to get the cover back on and pressed the screen down too hard, though you could say that was my fault there. Just be careful about putting too much pressure on the screen with your thumb. My meter also came with a screw that was much tighter than should be and it was stripped trying to take it out, unfortunately. I did eventually get it out but it was very annoying to have to deal with, the other 2 screws came out just fine. For input protection you have 1 small PTC and a couple of decent sized ceramic fuses (which don't appear to be rated, just a plastic casing). As long as you don't do anything this meter is not designed to do you should be fine. If something were to happen, the body construction has 2 shield walls to prevent any blast escaping which is good design. More expensive meters used to only use 1. The board layout looked very clean, minimalistic and spaced well appart which would probably help with arcing with the lack of any voristors that I could see. Over all: Great meter, they cut a couple corners with the build but what do you expect for $20. If you were on the fence about getting one like this or a $100+ meter and don't plan on using it for anything more than around the house or industrial high voltage or even some hobbyist electronics, I would go with this one. ... show more

I have had this for over a year now and can not remember why I originally purchased this. It has came in handy from time to time to test electrical issues with electronics. Has a lot of features that I probably won't use. It's a great meter for home use however I am giving it 3 stars because I wanted to use the capacitance test to test a known working capacitor to check to make sure it was good however I could not get any reading from it. Display just read OL. Other reviews have mentioned this as well. Also the instructions make no sense whatsoever. I have found in most situations just googling how to do something on a multimeter to be more beneficial than reading the instructions. Despite the flaws I do recommend this meter for anyone that just needs a inexpensive meter. I do wish though all the functions worked and it is too late to return the item. 2/10/21 Updating my review. I contacted the seller and told them of the issue and they sent a replacement product that works. It was over a year since I purchased the original one so did not think they would send a replacement item but they did. Great customer service if you have malfunctions with this device. ... show more

I'm not an electrician and I have no idea what I'm doing with this stuff, but I like the build quality, the components all feel solid and tough, and it hasn't failed me yet. The clamps aren't great and definitely drag this down - the rubber is not proper fitted to them, and the small size combined with the clamps surprising amount of grip strength means that just trying to get them open is a chore. But it's whatever. Good product imo ... show more
