  • For the price, it's a great buy.
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Bought this to use on my 65 Rambler American to convert it from a 1 barrel to a 2 barrel carburetor on the AMC 196 straight 6 engine and didn't want to spend 400+ dollars on something I wasn't sure was going to suit my setup. Read a lot of reviews on various Weber 32/36 clones and this one stood out. I used a 1bbl to 2bbl adapter, slapped this thing on, hooked up the electric choke, and it fired right up, with a bit of adjustment it was running pretty smooth for being jetted for a 4 cylinder motor. With the proper jetting for my setup I think this thing will be just fine and a great value for the money. I go out and start the car a couple times a month and it always fires right up after an initial few quick pumps of the gas pedal. I'm happy. ... show more

  • Same performance as original Weber for a fraction of the price
Absolutely fantastic carburetor. I bought an old 1984 Subaru GL and needed an upgrade for the carburetor since the original was too far gone to be rebuild. This Weber-style carb bolted on nicely and the car fired up instantly. I don't usually write reviews, but this carb has surprised me so much. It was easy to dial in after the initial startup and has been going strong for the past months without issues. I can highly recommend this carburetor. There is seriously no need to pay 5x the amount for an original Weber. ... show more

  • The Little Chinese Carburetor That Could
I was warned time and time again not to buy these Chinese clone carburetors and instead stick with the original Weber carbs that cost 4x the amount, and while yes there are quality issues on this carburetor, they're also present on the Weber originals too. Long live Chinese clones It's a part for part clone. Literally identical down to the last screw that I was able to tell. I had a genuine 32/36 that had been badly mistreated by the previous owner of my engine, and was beyond repair. I bought this to replace it, and my car has been running pretty good with it for the past year or so now The carburetor does have some slight issues as compared to the Weber original though. -The primary idle jet is very tight in the seat. I have other jets and they fit better, so it's a problem with the included jet, not the holder. Not a huge deal, just know that you may encounter very tight interference fits that you would not on a genuine carb -It's a little rough around the edges. Castings are a little rough in spots, though it's all cosmetic and doesn't affect functionality -Screw hardware is meh. The screws are very soft, so be careful not to strip them out. The carburetor is also made out of pretty crap metal, so again, be careful. (The latter is true of the Weber originals too) Overall, it's a great little carb, especially for the money. If you've got a bit of a jalopy going on or just don't want to fork over 400 bucks for a nearly identical product, I can really recommend this little thing. It's been nothing but good to me, and even if it does go south in the next couple of years, I think I've gotten my money's worth out of it considering how cheap it is compared to the original ... show more

  • I bought this to replace a 25 year old Weber 32/36 DGEV
I bought this to replace a 25 year old Weber 32/36 DGEV that needed rebuilt. This complete carburetor cost only a few dollars more than a major rebuild kit - - but nothing else is worn out since it is new. Genuine Weber jets fit. I used an AEM 30-0300 wideband AFR meter to fine tune the jetting for the first time - - much easier, faster and more accurate than reading the coloring of the spark plugs. https://www.amazon.com/AEM-30-0300-Wideband-Sensor-Controller/dp/B0184TSI84 ... show more
