The massager sits on the peak of your shoulders, behind your neck and the straps are placed going from the front of your body to the back. I’ve watched people try and latch the strap on the mid to upper body from behind and you can easily doing it at the lower back (much easier) and just let the strap pull up naturally to hold the massager in place. There are four buttons, easily accessible, that allow you to control heat, mode, etc. The unit performs extremely well, digging in deep and loosening any knots you may have in the upper neck region. Overall, it has a very tight grip and it holds on to your neck via the straps, so you can either sick back and relax, or multi-task and do other things as well. The media could not be loaded. I just received the massager and have already used it several times! My shoulders and neck are always extremely tense and I am always wanting a massage. My husband said I need a linebacker to massage my shoulders, that is how tense they are. This gives that pinching motion on the top of the shoulders and rubs in on the neck muscles. This Nekteck Neck Massager is a really solid piece of equipment. It feels well-built and lives up to the description of being a wireless, portable shiatsu massager for the neck and back. The cordless design is definitely a major plus, making it easy to move around while using it, whether I'm at home or trying to relax in a chair. For a 4-star product, it certainly meets expectations in terms of quality and initial feel, aligning well with what's advertised about its deep tissue capabilities and heat function. Using this massager has been mostly a positive experience, especially thanks to its wireless functionality. As advertised, it offers freedom of movement, and I've found that the battery life is great, and it charges fast, which is fantastic for convenience. However, as noted by others and in my own experience, it can pinch pretty hard sometimes, and I really wish the fit were more adjustable somehow. While the description mentions adjustable straps for a secure fit, I felt it could be refined further to prevent that pinching sensation and allow for a more personalized comfort level.     • Tore up my skin
I had the older model of this massager. It was great and lasted years. This one is aweful and much cheaper than the older model. * In the older model, the massage balls were on plastic "springs" so that they adjusted to your body. Not the new one, they are fixed. * In the older model, the arms weren't adjustable which might sound not great but... in this model the adjustable straps are too long and the unattach constantly. * In the older model, everything stayed in place. In the new model, the components inside move around which caused the balls to rub against the wrong fabric and tear up the skin on my lower back. I have to unzip and adjust the internal components all the time! * The older model lasted me 4 years. The new one has started breaking after only 6 months of less use. If you want one of these, buy the older model. I can only assume that the incredible number of positive reviews are all fake. Sure, some of them are real but the majority of them are most likely fake. ... show more

I bought this massager for my husband to give me for my birthday. The reviews were mostly good and that is what I expected but is better than good it is remarkable. The massager really does feel like hands massaging. It is very easy to use and the controls are conveniently placed. I used it on my neck and easily moved it down my spine for a complete back massage. The heating element is very nice. I like that I can pull it nearer my body for intense massaging and with more slack it becomes more gentle. It's great! ... show more
