  • Amazing Pads
If you finger drum, this is the controller for you. Pad sensitivity is off the charts. Has awesome integration with most DAWs. More importantly, works amazingly with the included Nektarine software, which you can think of as a more powerful Maschine/MPC plugin or standalone application. Only downside is that there isn’t a ton of YouTube videos on how to use the Nektarine software the way there is for the other more mainstream brands. ... show more

  • Nice pads, but absolutely unacceptably poor product information and support
Imagine: a MIDI controller with no "getting started" documentation. None included with the (color, glossy, terribly written) manual. No videos on the internet. No "how to get started with Aruba" online area. Nothing. The manual and other sorrowful 'attempts' by the manufacturer to provide information are hopelessly self-referential. What's sad is that they are so easy to fix - someone had to decide "nah, don't care to help people who gave me money for my small, struggling company's product." This is clearly a product made by a small company run by people who have no ability to imagine things from a typical user perspective, nor the desire to listen to others. Do these pads work well? They work better than many, and as good as some others. Would I ever recommend this product? No. There are many, many similar products in the same price range that are as good, and nowhere near as opaque. A very well-known online content maker had exactly the same reaction to this product: sure is nice, but he almost gave up on it because the learning curve was steep, and there was no help from the company at all. And he is a world class expert in pad controllers. Nektar should feel ashamed for their lack of commitment to customers. ... show more
