  • So funny!
One of my all time favorite comedies! Have always loved this movie but recently watched it again with my 15 year old who also enjoyed it. She laughed out loud several times too

  • Nonstop humor
I've watched all three of the series more than once and I would rate this one as my second favorite but suggest it is watched first. It is not necessary to watch them in order, however, I do think you get a lot more out of the plot, the character development and their interpersonal relationships if you start with Meet the Parents, filmed in 2000. I can't understand why anyone would not like or enjoy this movie especially if you need a good laugh. ... show more

  • Gen Z loves this Gen X comedy that makes fun of Boomers
Basically, unless you're a Millennial, you'll love this movie. Millenials might like it too. Gen Z finds Jack Burns to be a typical Boomer and dies at how cringy he is, and Gen X totally agrees with them until they find out Gen Z also thinks Gaylord Focker is a Boomer which is incredulous as Ben Stiller is clearly established as Gen X through his role in Reality Bites. Okay Boomer. Whatever. Boomers laugh out loud when hilarity ensues as Jack Burns, played by Robert DeNiro, alienates his would be future son-in-law played by some actor named Ben Stiller. Never mind that the only Stiller they've ever heard of is Jerry, of that comedy duo, Stiller and Meara. Millenials might like this movie too. I'll update my review if I get the opportunity for an anecdotal study on this generation. ... show more

  • Freaking love this movie--gets funnier as I get older
Saw it when it first came out, saw it a few times afterwards when it aired on TV in the 2000s, saw it a month ago with my tween kids. Oh Lord, it somehow got funnier! How does that even happen? I literally (yes, there were tears) cried with laughter during some of the most cringeworthy scenes. My 13-year-old daughter had to leave the room a couple times because she couldn't handle the escalation in humiliation. My younger daughter screamed with laughter. When I asked them if they'd watch the sequel with me, the 13-year-old yelled, "No! No way!" and went upstairs to bed. My younger daughter was ready to hunker down for another two hours of Fockers, but I had to nip it in the bud since it was already midnight. I highly recommend this movie for over-the-top, family viewing (ages 13 and up). ... show more
