The power supply provides 8 volt 3 Amp which is enough to fulfill the 7.4 V requirement for the EOS r6 and 5D models I have. I never realized that there is a removable rubber door by the battery compartment until I use this product. The cable fits very tight. I wish it is slightly thinner and stronger to give a better fit. The battery door is required to be closed in order for this adapter to work. It works as expected. ... show more

I was initially a little worried about buying a cheap adapter, especially after seeing a few stories about cameras getting bricked. When I saw Neewer I thought they’re at least a semi-decent brand so I took a chance. The Canon original is over $100 so this is a bargain. It came in a nice branded box and worked flawlessly in the old Canon 5d mkii. Just take care to make sure you move the small tab and get the camera battery door closed without having to force it shut and you’re golden. As far as I'm concerned there is no difference between this product and the Canon equivalent except a substantial price difference. I tested this right out of the box and it kept my Canon EOS R powered on for about 3 hours no problems. I've used it on video sets to reduce the amount of batteries used and eliminate down time for swapping batteries, so far I am a very very happy customer! ... show more
