Im 5'1 roughly 145-150 lbs . I have had multiple back surgeries within the recent years , a car accident, and recently slipped the disc again. Fair to say my back is "busted" , for lack of better word choice. Going from being an athlete and working out consistantly to my recent back issues, even took a toll on me mentally. After re-injuring my lower back recently I was starting to loose hope and I just refuse to have a 3rd back surgery. I initially purchased a posture corrector that also offered lower lumbar support. I was excited about the produt, however it would not stay in place around the lumbar area and actually caused more pain over time. Of course it was returned , which led me here. I saw the initial video of the young man with Scoliosis . So I decided to take a chance. This thing arrived the next day even when ordering it around 10:45pm. I have had it on all day for the most part because I sit down for work as well, I am currently in school so I sit down for my studies. The brace size I chose is medium as I'm a 32 to 33 waist. This is the perfect size and the perfect support. My mobility just walking around the house is even improved with this brace on. The inner braces that provide support to your mid to lower lumbar area are in the perfect place and have a slight bend, which conforms to the natural arch in the small of your back. This adds comfort and support. This brace also has two outside adjustable straps, that when pulled tightens around your waist. It feels like a comfort hug while remainging flexible and alow breathability. The straps expands with your body on a huge inhale. For those that might care about such things it actually conceals the mid section. So kinda acts as a girdle in a sense and is hidden pretty well under a shirt. Cant really tell that it is on. I know I have typed a lot. Words just can't describe the relief and joy that I'm in right now. This product works wonders and if you have had any type of back issues and need support . I highly recommend this product.

Ok Disclaimer: I just got this brace yesterday. That said: I have tried many braces over the years. Some stay with me for one reason or another, some drop away, velcro too stiff, not enough support or too tight, etc. I am a very tough customer to please. This brace felt great - right away. I bought this brace to stabilize several discs and to dial back and leg pain. Within moments of putting it on, I got a sense that something was different. I felt supported but not suffocated. The support hits me in just the right areas, tighter at the lower end, closer to hips, looser near the top near my ribs. My posture improved nicely. I can adjust the brace depending on where I feel I need support most. Instantly walking was straighter, and I could breathe easily. Wearing it, I felt comfortable with no urge to rip it off minutes later! Walking is one of the best things I can do for my condition so... anything that helps me walk better helps my body heal. I had a great walk yesterday! My walking pattern changed. My pain was gone or quite diminished, my legs were straight ahead of me, effortlessly going one after the other, not limping or compensating for any misalignments. I freely walked with the gait of a normal person! Later some pain returned and again, using the brace, my walking improved - the pain was now just a bit of a complaint, not a game changer. This belt seemed to realign my body. Wearing it for just a little while I felt better overall, and I can't say that for most braces. Whoever designed this brace either had me in mind, (I am small and light in frame) - or knows a lot about ergodynamics and the human body. (I'm guessing that latter.) Brilliant. Please put out more of these in extra colors!

I have an 8-level spinal fusion so back braces are needed occasionally when lifting and driving long distances. I loved the ability to adjust the side panels for support levels but have to admit the stretch fabric holding everything in place is already snagging due to the inner fabric and side panel velcro (4 tabs) getting stuck to each other. Even when I open the panels full width, the velcro ends have a mind of their own and I end up looking in the mirror to figure out what went wrong. I do wish the back panel itself was a tad longer so it went higher up the spine. Other than this, I'm going to order one for my husband who hasn't undergone the knife yet and I'm hoping this will give him some relief in lieu of painful injections and trips to the chiropractor.

I wish it came up higher, but overall, it did what it said it would. The metal bars, yes I said 'bars', are phenomenal. I had a couple of twinges of pain over a twelve hr shift, but it was fleeting. Literally, a couple of seconds. Normally I complain ALL NIGHT. If I weren't fluffy, you could barely tell I had it on. It is comfortable, gives great support, improves your posture, and is covered by HSA/FSA. Can't beat that with a stick!

My waist is within the guidelines for a L and in no way does this thing fit around me and close. My waist is a 40 and it says up to 44. Not true. I will see if this can be returned. If it fot it is a nice structured belt but that doesn't matter if you can't wear it and use the straps to adjust for support

This brace is so comfortable and I can tell the difference while working with it on. I have had back pain for years and lifting and moving heavy objects always seems to inflame my back muscles. Since I started wearing this when dealing with heavy objects, my pain is less and my back feels stronger. Well made for the price, I highly recommend.
