  • Use for my B gmrs 15 pro
The one stars almost told me not to get it. But from people answering my question it ensure me that they fix that problem. I been using it for my HTs contacted to my midland anttena. Product has taken a beating bouncing around the dirt road in the truck. About 3 months and I still trust it.

  • You get what works
I have used these before to adapt between my SMA equipped HT and an SO239 antenna. They are good quality for the price and adequate for QRP power ranges.

  • Flexible antenna adapter
Having a flexible adapter instead of a rigid one saves stress on the radio's connector when hooked to a coax cable.

  • Well built
This is about an 8 inch adapter cable that seems constructed to withstand regular use with a portable handheld, not just at a stationary location or workbench. The SO239 end of the cable has a fortified bit of black heat-shrink tubing that keeps the coaxial cable from kinking right at the crimped retainer of the connector. There's another piece of heat-shrink tubing on the SMA-F cable connector, again as a way to anchor the miniature coax cable. The cable itself is flexible, but resists kinking. The connectors both have a bright, golden colored center pin that will reveal any tarnishing or dirt. The insulation to the outer threads looks like a high quality dielectric, but the texture does not resemble the familiar Teflon insulation. Notice the lock nut on the SMA-F cable connector. This is not easy to use in practice, since it goes into a slightly recessed chassis-mounting connector on the radio that ordinarily receives a rubber antenna. But, it's possible to fully seat the connector into the radio without having to use the locknut. By draping the cable down the back of the radio, it's easy to hold the cable and radio in the hand at the same time to minimize mechanical stress. The use of this adapter cable makes it easier to use the radio than with a screw-in one piece adapter. The RG-58 A/U coaxial cable to the mobile antenna is NOT right there at the radio. Instead that cable and its PL259 are out of the way and hanging below the radio while in use. This probably minimizes the mechanical stress on the connector inside the radio. I have not noticed any significant reception difference from the slight loss of having an additional connection in the line, compared with a one piece adapter SO239->SMA-F. ... show more

  • As Advertised
These cable adapters were recommended for my radion antenna when it is connected to the antenna I have on my truck. They are as advertised.
