This is a big upgrade over the basic metal bedframes that I typically go for (because they're a lot cheaper). Assembly was easier than expected and took 30 minutes at most, also all the pieces fit inside a zipper pocket inside the headboard which will be great the next time I need to move. The frame is HEAVY though (120 lbs I believe), I tried to get the box up the stairs myself and couldn't do it, I ended up taking all the pieces out of the headboard storage pocket and carrying them upstairs in several trips. What made assembly easy was that many of the screws were already installed in the piece they needed to be in, you just had to loosen them a little, slot the attaching frame piece over the screw head, then tighten it back down, there wasn't endless screwing like with lots of other frames. I did use a ratcheting screwdriver instead of the included hex wrenches which helped as well. The frame feels very sturdy and looks great, I really like the soft-touch border all the way around, it looks a lot classier than just a metal frame. I've had mixed experiences with Nectar/Resident brand products but I'm happy with this one, would recommend. ... show more

This Nectar bed frame with headboard is very nice looking bed and has high quality materials. It's very easy to assemble. The pieces are very well organized, and the instructions are very easy to follow. There was a bit of a smell from the packaging that took about 5 days after assembly to finally go away. The smell seems to be gone now. I got the dark grey headboard to go with indigo blue/navy bedding in my guest room, and it looks great with it. However, the bed is quite low -- that's not a criticism of the product, just an observation. If you don't like a low bed, then pay close attention to the dimensions in the description. The headboard is also really low. My husband used risers to lift the headboard, and we decided not to use the rest of the bed. You can see the difference in my photo versus other reviewers, but I forgot to take a before shot. I'm happy with how the headboard looks now, although I personally would look for a higher one next time. ... show more

This bed frame has exceeded my expectations. Once put together it's extremely sturdy, and looks fantastic. It was super easy to put together. I had someone to help me out, so it took under an hour to get done. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. I couldn't be happier. I do have 2 issues though. 1- I think this was a return. There was a screw missing, and a metal piece was bent. One set of slats was not zip tied like the others, and a few pieces were missing plastic. Overall not a big deal as I straightened out the metal piece, and other than that there is no damage or indication it's not in pristine condition. 2- The headboard is a little low for my taste. Once I got the pillows on the bed, you could hardly see the headboard. Again, not a huge deal but something to note. My main concern when getting this was the height. It's only 8 inches off the ground, and I have a 10 inch mattress so I was worried it would be too low. However, that's not the case! It sits just as high off the ground as it did when I had an 12 inch bed frame. It's just the perfect height and I can still put stuff under the bed with no issue. This is a good quality bed frame. It comes packaged nicely and is relatively easy to set up. I did use a socket wrench to tighten some of the included screw, as it was much easier to use that than the (included) wrench/driver – I’d recommend having a “real” set of tools to put this together on hand, if you can. Setup took about 30 minutes, but was straightforward. The one thing I’ve noticed so far that I considered taking a star off for (though I didn’t) was that the wooden slats that support the mattress were slightly warped such that they have a little “give” to them and “clank” against the bed when there’s not the constant weight of a mattress on them. Given that the mattress I’m using on the bed is heavy enough to prevent the warped boards from popping up/making noise, I haven’t taken off a star, but just be aware that this isn’t a super-high-end set, there are some defects/imperfections in the materials used. ... show more

This is a very nice full sized bedframe. I like that it comes with the headboard and I really like that it doesn't require a box spring. This is heavy and will be so much easier to put together with help and not alone. They included what you need to put it together. I think it's on the pricey side but considering the quality it's not a bad value. I do prefer metal slats over wood but they seem to be pretty sturdy. ... show more

This bed is so comfortable, you will never miss your box spring! Everything is so well made! The fabric is soft and cushioned. … I have seen similar beds where the thin fabric felt hard against the frame. It is definitely not like that here. Everything seems very well made. It was shipped well and efficiently with all the pieces enclosed in one bundle. It definitely takes two people, but it wasn’t overly difficult. Everything was up in less than an hour. My only “complaint” (if you can even call it that is that I wish the headboard was a little higher - it is very (very) short … but it keeps my head from bumping on the wall and helps keep my pillows up, so I am happy.
