In constant frustration with reviews that say only “this smells great” or “this smells terrible”, I will attempt to throughly describe the scent of this product for the homies who cannot sample before buying. THE SMELL: Deep rosemary, with a heavy cologne intensity. AKA this NOT the “co-op/farmers market” rosemary that leads with a sharp crispness; Necesaire’s rosemary leads with a deep earth, and the Cedar is heavy up front. It’s masculine-coded and a bit musky, but in a romantic, almost professional way, and lightened by the jasmine— the eucalyptus and mandarin undertone gives it some needed brightness and it ultimately pairs well with smoky, musky, and botanical/herbals. Personally, this scent was ALMOST too strong for me, but it dries down to a version of itself that’s fresher and warmer. PERFORMANCE: I bought this to try and address some hair loss/thinning after 3-4 years of loss took my thick hair (I’m French, Italian and Black) down to less than half of its volume. This was my first selection, and if it’s ineffective I’ll be seeking a prescription treatment. After the first wash, I agree with other reviewers that the shampoo is a bit stripping (rosemary naturally clarifies, so this wasn’t surprising.) However, the condition made up for this. I left it on for 5 minutes and post-dry my hair texture feels silkier and nourished. I love my hair’s natural oiliness and don’t feel that the product made my hair “too oily”. I also combined the shampoo with a scalp massager, and used a shower brush to fully integrate the conditioner. will update in a month with more about any noticeable texture or density changes!

I really have a tough time finding shampoo and conditioners that don’t leave my hair hard and straw. These are on the same level as Alterna Caviar. Now I have some variety! The smell is so relaxing and natural. Truly a rosemary smell. This will be in my continuum rotation.😊

I love this set for how it helps my scalp - it feels so nice after long days with more tension-focused hairstyles. It's so soothing to my scalp and helps wash out and re-moisten the scalp without stripping too much or too little of my scalp's natural oils, and without "coating" the head like some thicker conditioners can be wont to do. However, I have a lightly curly hair texture and I have noticed the rest of my hair is dry after using this set - so I can only stand to use it maybe twice a week. If you have coarse or high-porosity hair, this may not work the best, but if like me you got this to help with your scalp, you may love the way it feels! Still a great set and I'm glad I got it.

I will not use this product on my hair again. My hair has highlights in it and the shampoo felt like it stripped all moisture out of my hair. I followed up with Revlon's 5-minute mask and K18 hair oil in an attempt to repair my hair.

This shampoo and conditioner smells like heaven. It’s not full eucalyptus scent but has hints of that and other smells I can’t quite tell what they are, but wow, straight spa smell! Makes my hair super soft and the scent lingers throughout the day. Only disappointment is it ranks not too high on the “clean” ingredients list and it is pricey, but damn that smell maybe worth it!
