  • Wow - fast shipping and nice design
I am 6'1" and I bought the 29" and I think this is the first bike that fits me perfectly! I finally feel like my seating position and my legs can extend comfortably. The seat/saddle is (I think) gel padded and was comfortable for my over 20 mile ride. Shipping: This bike was shipped from Washington state to Florida where I live and arrived in excellent condition. The packaging is very good. In my case - it was delivered via FedEx and required a signature to take delivery. I ordered January 13 and it arrived January 18. So, I am impressed with the shipping. Assembly: It is easy to assemble the bike. You attached the handle bar and the front wheel. There is a plastic piece that goes thru the wheel to protect it during shipping. You can unscrew it and then removes easily. Also there is a spacer in the bike front brake caliper. Remove it - and then the wheel goes right in (remember do not pull the brake lever before inserting the wheel or else you will close the caliper and will have difficulty inserting the wheel). My first ride: After I assembled the bike- I charged the battery. It came mostly charged but I wanted to take a long bike ride and not run out of battery. After the battery was charged - I rode the bike for 26 miles and the battery level barely moved. I mean it did not drop a bar and voltage was still in the 50's. So, I guess I did not need to worry about the a full charge. During my ride - I rode mostly assist level 1 or 2 - but I also tested the other assist levels thru 6 and used the throttle. The trigger shifters work great -and I did not need to make any adjustments. The brakes are spectacular and stop quickly and quietly. The front suspension worked okay for me riding on rough pavement and streets. The ergonomic lock-on Velo grips are so comfortable and remove any strain while using the bike. I will add these same grips to my other bikes. Since on an ebike you go much further - hand strain can become a major issue. These grips remove any worry of nerve damage and works incredibly well. The power assist is interesting. Based on my first ride experience it works like this... >power assist level 0 - no assist you pedal >power assist level 1- motor assist up to around 10 mph - once you reach 10 mph the motor cuts off - drop below 10 mph and the motor get you back up to 10 mph The rest of the power assist modes work similarly but incrementally increase the mph (level 2 - 12 mph; level 3 15 mpg, etc.). So that when you get all way up to power assist level 6 - it assist you up to 20 mpg - and if you drop below it brings you back up to 20 mph. I like this type of assist- I can put it in level 1 or 2 and comfortably use my own power and when I hit an incline or big headwind the bike will help me maintain speed. Since the motor only assist when I need it - I can see that the range of this bike will easily be over 40 miles which is likely my limit on any ride. The other side of this is if you want to ride at 20 mph - you can put the assist level to 6 and basically the bike will do most of the work. Or, you just set the power assist to 0 and use the throttle which goes to 20 mph. The motor will only assist you up to 20-22 mph and will cut off over that speed. It you use throttle only then you can stop pedaling and just maintain 20 mph. I like the motor/controller Das-Kit. The LCD is easy to read and the buttons accurately labeled, well positioned, easy to control and responsive. It is quiet! Incredibly quiet - especially in the lower power assist. In the highest level 6 power assist I can hear the motor, but in lower power assist modes it is very quiet and non-intrusive. The handle bar does not have a lot of room. The trigger shifters, brakes, bell, throttle control, LCD display, and reflector do not leave a lot of room. I was able to add a phone holder between the bell and the LCD but it is tight. I will probably remove the reflector. So, that I can add a headlight. Excellent customer service: I contacted the company on 2 occasions. Once before I purchased the bike - I web chatted with Leon Cycles (the bike seller) and asked questions about the bike rack and fenders. And a 2nd time after buying the bike. In both cases - the NCM person helping me was quick to respond and helpful and nice! This company is for real and is not a couple of guys just buying bikes from China. I am really impressed with the service and a big thanks for your help at Leon Cycles! Overall - the NCM Moscow 29" plus is a great value. The bike rides nice, has good components, a very good controller/LCD/motor, and excellent customers service! The price is incredibly low - and I expect as the bike becomes more well known- it may rise in price. Right now - this bike is incredible bargain and the best buy I could find for a class 2 electric bike. I am not affiliated with the seller, and have not received payment or any consideration for this review- I am just a satisfied customer. January 26 update ---- [100 mile update] - 46.8V and 2 of 5 bars remain after my first 100 miles of riding on my initial charge. I used pedal assist 1 or 2 for most of the ride. So, the motor did not kick in unless my speed fell below 10 - 12 mph which accounts for the high 100 miles on one charge. I will try to add a review as I use the bike and give more updates on the range. [Added accessories] - I added a phone holder and headlight. Now I can have my phone on Waze and check my location and nearby traffic. The phone holder fits on the left handlebar. After I removed the reflector on the right handlebar then I was able to add the BV Super Bright (300 Lumens) USB Rechargeable Bike Headlight that I bought on Amazon too. The BV headlight includes a free taillight and I like it works great for riding at night. These are all the accessories that I need to add the handlebars and it all fits. ... show more

  • Spend the extra for the Moscow Plus! It's worth it for this solid ebike
At first I was skeptical due to this being my 3rd e-bike. I decided to spend the extra money for upgraded shocks and power. My last bike (eAhora350W) struggled on steeper climbs so the 500W was a must, as well as the 24 gears. Well , after my first ride, a 12 mile ride in the West Hills section of the San Fernando Valley in LA, I was impressed. Smooth gear shift, exceptional torque on steeper climbs and good braking. I added some mirrors, cell phone holder and will be adding a handlebar riser so I'm not leaning forward so much which on longer rides hurts my back and makes my hands go numb. They cost about 12$ for a decent riser here on Amazon. I'm 6'1 so I recommend for taller riders. Also, I changed the seat to a wider cushioned seat from Schwinn, cost about 25$ (your bottom will thank you on those long rides!) The 6 phase PSA increases power in small increments, and with the 21-24 gear, yo can get an amazing workout! Be careful you switch back to Zero when you stop, one accidental touch of the electric throttle(right next to your hand grip) can send the bike flying! I would think that when you come to a complete stop, the bike would RESET to Zero for safety but it doesnt, so be mindful. I highly recommend this bike, for its sturdiness, smooth riding, solid components and if you have the extra money, get the PLUS Moscow. You will be happy you did! ... show more

  • Solid bike and incredible value
Color: Matte Black Size: 27.5"
Even better than I expected and within an hour of taking out of the box, I was on the road! This bike rocks and is able to head up the steepest hills near my house. While heavier, it handles a lot like my Cannondale Habit and the Shimano gears and Suntour forks worked perfectly. This bike is identical to the Magnum Peak that I was looking at locally but the shop was “out of stock”. Stoked to find the Moscow Plus at $500 less and it arrived only 5 days after order! Looking forward to putting this through its paces on the Wasatch trail network and plan to be out every day until the snow flies. -update- 2 years in on this bike and it is flawless and a blast to ride! Spend entire days doing “beverage tours” with other ebikes and even after a full day of riding, can still rally up the (substantial) hills to get home, with more than 50% charge left. So impressed with the quality and ditched my Cannondale because this is so much more fun to ride. ... show more

  • Nice bike. Not the best customer service.
Color: Matte Black Size: 27.5"
I love the bike, But. We had to change the seats. Seats that came on it was not comfortable. I'm 62 and didnt want to sit on one of those tiny seats. Box was damaged in shipping. Brake Rotor was bent. When I called customer service they said to use a wrench and straighten the rotor. Box had hole in it and the tool kit to assemble was missing. I bought 2 bikes so I had a tool kit from the other bike to assemble it. But what if I didn't buy 2 bikes? Both brake rotors were bent and I had to straighten them on both bikes. I had to add handle bar post extensions (110mm extensions) and a different post that I could angle the handle bar closer to me ( I'm 6'-2" tall) so I was not so bent over. The brake cable for the front brake is too short to allow me to make it high enough, but I'm working around it. The seat had puncher holes from the gears while shipping. Customer service did nothing. It is a good quality bike, customer service is not so good. My wife is 5 foot 6 inches tall, bike frame (27.5) is too tall for her. She has fallen twice now getting off the bike. She said she will learn how to get off better as we ride more. I should have gotten her a step thru bike. We put 175 miles on the bikes when we went on vacation to northern Wisconsin. So far the bikes are working great. The controls are easy to use. With our added changes, the bikes are comfortable for a long ride. But do yourself a favor and change out the seat. I hope this helps you. Nice bikes, not so nice customer service. ... show more
