I was really excited to only have to carry on core remover tool but this thing was very disappointing. The first time I tried to use it it was able to extract the core out of an older r22 system and the extractor pluger broke to where it can even hold a shrader valve at all, I almost had to leave my tool on the system forever, it was very frustrating. I contacted the company to get a new pluger but after a few emails to a rep they ghosted me. Also the repair kit is almost as expensive as anew tool. Even though the 5/16 is threaded on, I can pull sub 100 micron vacuums on mini splits. It is a bit too big to fit on some AC units with how small of an area you get to work with

after about five uses valve core started leaking, but it’s great for replacing leaking Schraders so you don’t have to pump down and pull a vacuum.

    • Very well made - had both 3/8" and 1/4" connectors so did not have to buy both sizes.

I got to for use when installing my mini-split. Did remove the Schrader values to assist when evacuating. Did excactly what I needed with no leakage. Not cheap but very well made.
