  • 6'4 300 Pound Man and 5XLT is a perfect fit.
Color: Dark Navy Size: 5X Tall
I bought this peacoat for a trip I'm taking to Alaska. Being clothes through Amazon is always an adventure, especially for large sizes. But this coat fits me perfectly and I am highly impressed by the quality. I know this coat will last for a very long time and will by my go to for colder weather. Find high quality items for bigger guys is always a challenge but I was so impressed with the fit and quality of this coat that I had to comment. This coat was worth the price and this was exactly what I wanted/looking for in a nice warm peacoat. ... show more

  • Nice fitting, stylish coat
Color: Dark Navy Size: Medium
While researching pea coats, this one by Nautica came up with good reviews on several sites so I decided to take a chance at the $80 price range plus the fact that it was a slim fit coat. The coat is very nice. It is a slim fit and I love how it fits me. I did have to size DOWN. I am 6' and 175 lbs and normally take a large in all of my coats but took a MEDIUM in this coat. Some reviewers noted that the jacket was "itchy" and not warm but I did not experience any itchiness and the jacket, while not a winter parka, was warmer than expected. I receive many compliments on it when I am wearing it. Minor issues is the weird strip of fabric behind the collar that other reviewers mentioned and I noticed that the material may pick up lint more than normal but nothing that a good lint roller can handle. ... show more

  • Nautica Men's Classic Double Breasted Peacoat - DARK NAVY and CHARCOAL
Color: Dark Navy Size: Large
Overall, very happy with the quality and fit of this coat. I ordered the same coat in both Dark Navy and Charcoal. I ordered a Large as I have a muscular build and wanted enough room in the shoulders and chest so I could wear the coat over something heavier like a sweater in winter. The arm length is a bit long, as others have noted, but nothing drastic. The Charcoal coat is darker than the photos would suggest; the photos make the Charcoal color appear much lighter, like a Grey. I was pleasantly surprised the Charcoal was indeed darker than the photos show. One caution regarding the Dark Navy color; it is VERY dark. Unless you have the coat in the right lighting, it will look black, not navy; it's that dark. I thought mine was mislabeled but in natural daylight you can see it's Navy...but it will fool your eyes. If you're looking for a truer, lighter Navy, this may not be a good color-fit for you. ... show more

  • #quite good #r fashionabl #quite good #r fashionabl
Color: Black Size: Small
The material quality of this coat is quite good. However, it is more practical in design rather than stylish or fashionable. The sleeves run slightly long, and the fit is somewhat loose around the waist. I would recommend having it dry-cleaned upon arrival, as you never know what it may have been exposed to during manufacturing and shipping. ... show more

  • Extra little details including interior pockets make this coat a great buy for the price
We bought this coat for our 24 year old son as a Christmas gift. He absolutely loves it. It came on a hanger, which was nice, and aside from cutting a few stray threads around the zipper area (I highly recommend that you inspect the zipper area carefully to avoid derailing) I was happy with the quality, weight and construction of the product. This coat isn't wool or even a wool blend. I knew that going into the purchase. We live in a climate that isn't extremely cold but we do have some cold damp days. It is perfect for our weather. Even though it is made of polyester it still requires dry cleaning according to the label. I suspect that is because of the nylon lining. Be advised of the dry clean only requirement prior to purchase. Most coats this style will require dry cleaning so this didn't affect our decision to purchase it. One of the great features of this coat is that along with the four outer pockets there are two additional inside pockets, too. The pockets are roomy which comes in handy with the larger phones people use these days. Yes, our son has one and was happy about the extra pockets. The zipper, although not metal, worked well once I removed a few stray strings. I can't attest to how long it will hold up because I'm doubtful that it'll see much use. The toggles, which are a nice feature, and give this coat a classy more expensive look, work really well. They are sturdy and will hold up well as will the hood which serves it's purpose on rainy days and our rare days of snow. I don't know about the other colors but the charcoal is working out well for our son. His prior navy colored coat was a magnet for lint and dog hair. I always felt tempted to run a lint brush across it and sometimes gave in to the temptation. Not so with this color. Every time that we've seen him he's had it on and it always looks neat and free of fur. I wasn't sure what to expect with this coat, which I purchased on a deal of the day, but it certainly met our expectations. We've bought other items of clothing made by Nautica and have always been happy with them. This coat is no exception. It had a few little details including piping on the pockets, the two-toned toggles, and other stitching that gave it a classy look. For the price, it was probably one of the best deals that we picked up during the holiday season. I highly recommend it. Even at the price of $109 which it is currently being offered at it's a good value. ... show more

  • Solid Coat, For The Price Range
Color: Black Size: X-Small
TLDR...This is a solid peacoat for the sub-$100 price range. It is not the equivalent of more expensive versions found elsewhere, but if you want a stylish option with acceptable build and fabric quality, then this coat will fit the bill. Fabric....It is 50% wool, which is acceptable for the price tag. Most real peacoats will be 80-100% wool, but at this price point, this blend is fine. A true 100% wool peacoast (besides being hard to find these days) will usually run $200 - $400, depending on the designer. The advantage to having a wool blend is it tends to repel water well. If you plan on wearing in snow, sleet, or rain it will hold up well. Quality....This is the one area where this coat is a little lacking. There are no "red flags" but some definite items to consider. The buttons are not great. They are flimsy and one was attached oddly. It was an easy fix that took three minutes and some thread but for a new coat from a major brand, I would expect better here. There is also no center vent which make movement and sitting comfortably a little less than ideal. Finally, the inner pockets are have no internal anchor so every time you pull out your gloves the pockets turn inside out. Again, this was an easy "fix" with a little thread, a button anchor, and ten minutes, but something I would have expected to be included in the design. (I may also be a little picky about this particular item). Warmth....I find it comfortable in the 20's to 30's but in conditions below this it is lacking. The coat has a substantial liner including in the arms, but it just is not as warm as the more expensive peacoat models at higher price points. Fit...This is more of a "modern" cut but at the same time still baggy. If you want a tailored fit think about sizing down unless you are planning on wearing multiple layers underneath, then it is fairly true to size. Overall, this is more of a "fashion coat" mimicking the style of a peacoat rather than a "tool" peacoat. If you want an actual peacoat like sailors in the Navy wore back in the day then spend the money on something higher end, but if you just want something that rises to the level of acceptable in most departments and are wearing it for the look, the Nautica peacoast will serve you well for many yars. ... show more

  • Not bad for the money. Not bad for the money.
Color: Charcoal Size: Large
So this jacket is a modern slimmer cut interpretation of the classic pea coat. Where a traditional pea coat is large and boxy in order to fit over several layers, this coat fits more like a sportcoat. I'm 6'1", 196 lbs. I wear a 44R suit coat with 34W pants. I wanted a slimmer fitting pea coat for the less chilly days when a t-shirt or button down was being worn. This coat sizing is perfect for that. Shoulder seams fall perfectly and it is just roomy enough through the waist. If I wanted to wear a sweater or layer thicker clothing, this would be too tight and I would wear a traditional cut pea coat. Length is on par with the length you would find on a suit or sport jacket. The material is a softer, lighter weight, tighter woven fabric. Again warm enough for cool days, probably want something heavier if your in a colder climate or just don't tolerate cold very well. The underside of the collar has a bit of the same material used to line the jacket sewn in as a contrast. Not sure whether I like it or not, but this is a design choice and is only seen if you pop the collar to seal up your neck. Now as others have mentioned the quality control is a little off. The right side lower buttons are sewn through to the inside causing and odd constriction near the pocket. It is not sewn through the pocket and is easily remedied by removing the thread and restitching the buttons. For $80 or less, I feel this is a good coat that can have the minor QC issues easily remedied. For any higher cost or for a true original sizing or warmth level, keep looking. I already own a traditional cut wool pea coat, so this fit my needs at a reasonable price point. I would recommend this coat to others with the same needs as I. ... show more

  • Another solid winner from Nautica
Color: Dark Navy Size: Large
This jacket look even better in real life than in the stock picture. It's definitely a jacket dress to impress. The color is rich and deep, the texture look really smooth and polish and the material look really upscale. I carefully inspected the stitching, buttons and pockets lining and every little detail is perfect. My skin has always been sensitive to wool and it was my neck area itches a little the first day or two but now I get used to it. It's a heavy jacket so it's really warm and I like that I can cover my neck area unlike other men's over coat that I have. It's a heavy jacket so it keeps me warm even when temperature was 31 degrees the other day and windy. But it's not overly heavy like my other full length overcoats. And because it is not a full length coat it makes it much easier to get in and out of cars. This high quality coat definitely does the Nautica name justice and I am really glad I paid a little more for this coat than other brand that I was considering. It's definitely worth the money and I trust that it will serve me well for many years to come. ... show more
