My daughter hates the water because she doesn't like to be cold, this kept her warm at the beach and allowed her to really enjoy playing in the water. Bonus: No sunburn! Double bonus: it kept the sand off of her body (for the most part). It smells really badly when new, so bad that it gave me a headache! I washed it before first use and it helped, but still smelled a bit like chemicals, so I washed it again. It says to hand was only but I've put it in the machine 3 time & it has kept it's shape. After the 3rd wash (2 washes prior to use & 1 wash after a day at the beach) the chemical smell is almost non-existent. Great buy! ... show more

My daughter is 10 and has worn this suit for a few months now at the lake for swimming. She adores it and it has allowed her to swim in our Washington lakes in June when the water is still quite cold. She continues to wear it when it’s 85 degrees out and the water has gotten to a reasonable temp, so it must not be too warm. She loves the feel of it, it’s easy to zip up and take off and on, and has been fantastic for her and us. Highly recommend it. We’ll buy another one when this wears out. We have not washed it in the machine more than once. We’ve rinsed and air-dried between uses. Love it. ... show more
