This litter is a good price for what you get. The odor control is amazing, I didn’t think it would be good since the pellets are large. The pellets absorb the heck out of everything. The result of the litter will depend on the cat. Some people are complaining their cat doesn’t cover their poop seems to be the fault of the cat or the owner not slowing introducing this wood litter mixed into their clay litter over time then slowing swapping it out. I like this wood litter because it doesn’t track everywhere because it doesn’t get stuck on the feet of the cats. I hated finding cat litter on my bed because it would get stuck on my cats feet and this solves the issue. ... show more

    • Odor control, minimal mess, and litter longevity!

This litter is great! I, like many others, were on the hunt for non-clay litter. I saw this while looking, for the price and amount I said “why not!” I have now been using this litter for 7 months and it’s been a game changer! No more smell. This litter is REALLY good at masking odors, there is a strong ammonia smell when cleaning depending on how often cleaning/usage (my cat goes often due to age). The pellets ‘disintegrate’ into a soft wood-type shaving almost. I did have to change litter box systems. I would STRONGLY recommend a sifting litter box and some large bag liners. Sifting the litter is easy and fast, also saves the bigger chunks from getting wasted during cleaning as traditional cat scoopers will not work. Prior to the sifter, I was using about one bag over a month. Now one bag lasts easily 2-3 months. Mess is minimal. Occasionally we will find a large pellet or two that wound up outside of the box. No sticking in carpets or scattered clay-pee mess. I would normally give 5 starts, however just for the additional purchase of a new litter system and the strong smell while cleaning, I had to deduct a single star. These few things are not deal breakers compared to the kitty-disaster other litters have been so it’s a well worth it exchange! I will continue to buy this brand and product! ... show more

I like this litter a lot, it doesn’t smell at all. It helps because I have a diabetic cat who is also a clean freak so she doesn’t mind using the litter, but I think it’s a little rough on her paws like the pellets are too big. She stopped using it after some months sad for me, but I’d still recommend this litter if your cat can get used to it. This will not work in automatic litter boxes, though. ... show more

Dust level: I tried these out probably a few months ago and these bags last my 3 cats a good chunk of time (as i do mix in a little regular litter so it’s not all pellets) but they seem to like it and it’s less messy and cleaning around the house!! (less dust) and the smell isn’t horrible. Cat health: Definitely recommend more than the fancy litters which aren’t good for them to breathe in!! Do your research! ... show more

    • Get a bigger scooper, may need a sifting bag for disintegrated pellets.

I highly appreciate that there was no dust when pouring this into their pans. But, this is pretty heavy, so I was trying not to lose the bag as I poured. The pellets are a lot bigger than I thought, and my scoopers do not sift them out well. I spent the past week or so switching our three cats to this, and one of the three just absolutely hates this. The cats did get these all of the floor, but thankfully I could sweep them up and put back into the pans simply enough. They do alright with scent control. I feel like this should be in a sifting bag in the pan though as the dust (where the cats peed, the pellets disintegrate into dust) builds up quick between the three of them. However, I do appreciate that my cats don't smell like the litter so bad when they cuddle. But I won't be buying this again, as all 3 cats together don't like this and I'm losing a lot of the good pellets as I scoop their poo. The pine smell is also very strong around the boxes (I have 3), which is not pleasant after a while. Two bags of this litter filled all 3 perfectly. You will need a scooper that will be able to sift the pellets!!! ... show more

I gave this product a 4 because We feel the odor control is amazing we like that it's made of natural wood product unfortunately, our kittens do leave a litter trail. Sure it's only pine dust, but it's dust trails just the same. Another name brand left no trail.
